Why is it so hard (for me) to play group content?

It's been recommend many times over for people having similar issues. Stop pugging. Join a few guilds and group with guild mates. Use the DF as a very last resort, and then only to fill a role or two in your group.

Additionally, make friends! having a friends list full of people who play the game is great when you need to fill a group.

No one replies in zone chat or guild chat. Ever. They obviously just read chat and ignore. Some form of acknowledgement would be fantastic even from just one person; never gonna happen.

Not that I know what you are saying that no one is responding to , but if you are posting appropriately to form a group, listing what you want, you will get responses as long as your request is reasonable.

Of course, it is best to be in the zone where people pick up pleges.

Also, if your guild is not active within the guild then find a better guild. There many 400+ guilds that really have 10 active members.

People are kicking others from group to invite their buddies after the hard work in vet dungeons is done so they can get the goodies at the end. Or people are leaving the group because they are finding it too hard right near the end ending the progress already made.

Not really. I doubt there are that many jerks. I can see in more challenging content if a group is having trouble with a fight they may kick the perceived weak link if they are not strong enough to carry them.

While I have rarely not been able to carry a group outside of someone just not capable of dealing with mechanics, I have kicked players for being a jerk. I would expect most will kick players because they cannot clear the content with them.

Granted, there are some that will kick players based on perception a the start but that is not what you are speaking to.

You must find a guild you enjoy and fit with and a group of people to run with much of the time. That is the way in any MMORPG>

Since everyone and thier mother is DPS in this game, stop fighting the system and learn how to heal or be a tank. These roles are actually more fun than DPS anyway. Tanking does require the most gear and attribute changes. Healing, you just need skills leveled and a resto staff.

Aww, don't reduce my role down to just leveling a character and equipping a staff. There are good healing methods and bad healing methods. It's not just a simple face roll.

I don't just heal, I make my group members feel like gods!

Whilst it is very much quieter in zone chat (children making silly comments aside) on xbEU it is certainly far from dead!

However you need to know It is very guild focused because it is a console platform. but the good news is there are literally hundreds of guilds and loads of people flying around.
Hang around in mournhold, Elden or VG for about 10 mins and you’ll soon Pick up a text invite
I got started by looking on this very forum
And posting in looking for group

Most everything about the game design is garbage. Fire a few people in charge and maybe hire a few devs who are more imaginative, intelligent, and actually play the game.

I play a DPS, my friend is also DPS. We run anywhere from 2-8 dungeons an evening normal and an occasional veteran several times a week. I queue us together and a dungeon pops in a few minutes. We have been doing this for a long time.

If the group is good we all often go right into several more dungeons.

Now if I solo queue as DPS, rarely do I get a dungeon pop in less than 30 minutes. In fact almost never.

Making a single good friend and running with them is an excellent way to seriously speed the whole process up as @Nestor said. There absolutely is a mechanic there.

I'd also like to mention we may run into a rude person perhaps one in twenty runs and after a few minutes they usually are removed from group and a replacement zones in and we carry on.

We also have rarely had to disband due to skill level as matter of fact I think it was two weeks ago we had healing difficulties in vWGT tried to power through but eventually did disband without a single blame be blurted out.
...but that's a whole different ballgame of vet dungeons!
