speed pot nerf hasn't happened. the nerf to swift is a buff to stam sorc. honestly, the 3rd bar will probably hurt the most but everyone getting slower while stamsorc can still stack speed is a buff to them.
No they just lessened the impact of the nerf. But now it's still a good skill though.Didnt they revert dark deal nerf, and keep the extra resources over time?

I'm not saying that every nerf suggestion is biased or unreasonable. But experience showed that many nerfs gain support for selfish reasons or bc people lack knowledge or ability.

Even with fw up 100% I get snared all the time. Poisons ignore it and when outnumbered it seems to just not work...Additionally, its seems pretty obvious that they also want to nerf speed pots: 'We're still working on ensuring all sources of Major Expedition are being brought up to the new values, such as Major Expedition on potions.' I would be fine with a duration nerf to around 25 or 30 seconds.
As a solo player I hate this though. Pvp has so much damage right now, the only way to survive against multiple people filled with proc sets is to use los. So I will be fine for half my pot, then become useless and die for the other half since I will be trying to walk around a corner.
I would be fine with the fw nerf, they could fix the snare bugs to help though. But I hate the idea of nerfing speed pots.
I'm just afraid, it's gonna be hard nerd, to 15,7 sec uptime (like other buffs on pots). I really miss times, when everybody could run shuffle and forward was mostly considered useless, troll skill. It's kinda sad that making overperforming things (swift) leads to strong nerfs to things that were ok...

Speed pot nerf hasn't happened but it was mentioned it's being looked into so I thought it was worth mentioning. I didn't mention swift, but I don't see how nerfing swift buff stamsorc at all, that doesn't make sense. And like I have said before, people really over estimate stamsorc speed. It's just 10% If stamsorc can stack speed then so can every other build, we will just have an extra 10%No they just lessened the impact of the nerf. But now it's still a good skill though.Didnt they revert dark deal nerf, and keep the extra resources over time?

It was only 10% before swift too. they still haven't fixed how speed calculations work. Each calculation finishes first then applies the next to the total. Basically, major and minor expedition = 1.43 speed instead of 1.4. So if you use one swift, minor, and the new steed, that's almost permanent Major type of speed.
The point is that swift made everyone that wanted to hit speed cap when sprinting and be close without sprinting. with the swift nerf, stamsorc will be back to being unique in that speed.

True, swift did make stamsorcs a bit less unique. But I still don't see we are getting buffed. We are losing 3rd bar, a nerf (although not major now) to dark deal and a nerf to Fm and an upcoming nerf to speed pots still makes the class worse than it was. We gain nothing.
Ah. Thanks. I obviously mixed it up with roots.Chilly-McFreeze wrote: »The thingy that reduces your movement speed by X%. Snare are usually given out like candy on every second stamina skill. Somehow magsorcs doesn't have access to it anymore (got removed from the encase morph). But that's only fitting, sorcs don't have access to debuffs in general from class skills.
Also, the nerf to overall buff uptime means node farmers, questers, dungeon dwelvers and anyone who just wants to get from point A to point B quickly got slowed down for no reason.

For PvE, it's a mild inconvenience for resource farming but hardly the end of the world.
For PvP, well frankly I got tired of fighting people that stacked Major Expedition with Swift and made it next to impossible to hit them as they ran in circles while being completely immune to roots/snare via FM so I'm not going to miss that and while the heavy handed nerf to all forms of Major Expedition was a bit extreme, it really doesn't seem like that huge of a thing to riot over.
And before people call me a White Knight for ZOS, stop. I do not agree with about 90% of what ZOS has done with this patch. I did not agree with Shield Cast times and felt that the ability to crit them as well as the adjustments to factor in resistances was enough of a nerf to shields and while I'm not sure how the 40% Shielding will work, I'm still skeptical overall. Nor do I agree with some of the unnecessary nerfs most classes received (RIP Magden, RIP non-DK/Warden Tanks, etc). I only feel this is hardly that big a deal to get worked up about.

I think OP's point maintains, though. Warden, MagSorc, DK, NB all have some form of Maj Expedition but Templar does not. I don't find this too problematic, but it should be tied to a universal skill. Stam/Magplar and Stam Sorc get left in the dust here a bit.
