Greetings, all!
I'm just tinkering with builds and going over some details and one thing I've noticed over the years is a distinct pattern to my preferences in characters for RPGs. I like underdogs, 'second-class' or non-conforming citizens/races, the marginalized and misunderstood, companions to play off of, and I tend to enjoy gitting gud with the unexpected. This isn't something I set out to do originally but it seems more and more that I find the pattern after the fact. I loved Argonians before Morrowind came out in 2002 but didn't play a tabletop RPG until 2011, when I played a droid in a Star Wars game, so it's neither limited in format or setting. I often think about what it means for me, in a psychological (?) sense - what does it say about me that I gravitate towards these clear choices?
Do ya'll ever sit back, make a character in ESO or other game, and then go: "Holy moley, I made another ____!"?
