Hey there, hi there, folks!

I apologize if this is covered elsewhere - I did do a search and nothing popped so here I am, making a thread.

During the course of my ... erm ... acquisition of things that I want more than the people who currently own them ... I have been able to find exactly one house furnishing. A green item, tagged as a <personal letter>. The tool tip listed it as a small housing item. It is the only thing of its kind I have located. I was able to launder it and then send it to my hubby who was then able to plop it in his hovel.

My question is simply: Has anyone else found *anything* and if so, would you all mind just listing/adding them here?

I've laundered other items tagged as wall decor, etc, but it seems that what we need to look for is Housing Item on the tooltip somewhere. Silly girl here didn't make note if said letter was bound until laundered or what. I'm guessing not (like the steal-able clothing).

    so far I have found a Bottle, Liquor (purple), Breton mug, full (blue I think), papers, stack (white) and common quill (white)

    what you should look for, is in the top left corner of the description. If it say treasure you can fence it, as it isn't possible to put it into the house. But if it say furnishing it can be used in the houses :)

    I also found a "personal letter."

    Also, a fish. No specific type of fish or anything... just "Fish." :D

    So far, the stealable furnishings seem to be small, clutter-type things. I approve of this. :)

    This makes me happy - I am hopeful more of the items we can ... um ... "borrow" will open up then/become discover-able.

    I "found" a rough fishing rod on a guy that now no longer has a need for it. I have put it up on Elderbay if any one is in the market.

    Wanted to indicate that I accidentally "found" some decorative wax whilst borrowing a cup of sugar from my neighbor's table. While it didn't indicate that said wax was hiding in the bottom of the bowl, it was there.

    Just a head's up for fellow... erm... borrowers of things.

    Edit to say: Stole food from a table (Potato!) and ended up with potato + wax - nothing was indicated that the wax was there until after the theft was made.

    So....does this mean I'll be able to...borrow furniture for my whole house? Like a Rent to Own, but I Borrowed It So It's Mine type deal? ...asking for a friend. :smirk:

    Well... a friend of a friend once removed has indicated that you may be able to decorate your house with the odds and ends that they are... ahem ... randomly locating; but that proper furnishings (such as tables and chairs) may not be as easily... um... relocated from a place that isn't mine... err... well to another place.

    As far as stuff you can regularly steal, I've gotten liquor bottles, ale mugs, fish, human skulls, empty spools, letters, quills, ink, signed contracts, folded cloth, folded leather, gears, cranks, bounty sheets, fishing poles, fishing spears, skooma bubblers, mushrooms, various furnishing plans, and morsels of bread (which I stole from beggars >:) ).

    Ok, so far that are all just library and hearth items, which basically means stuff on desks, tables and night stands.

    Soul gem type furnitures you can get from scholar types, the khajiit yellow ball of yarn is from artisans, doesn't have to be a khajiit far as I know. Any sort of game sort of thing can also be acquired from artisan type people.

    Oh, the drinks. You steal them from drunks. You'll mostly get junk common items from them, but they are the ones that have the drinks.
