Medium Slimecraw shoulders...

I've been opening 5-6 chests(Maj al-Ragath) at least 5 days a week for 2 months. Not only is Slimecraw by far the rarest set to come out of this chest, the medium one just doesn't exist. I've easily used 200 keys, and i've gotten maybe 7-8 slimecraw shoulders, most light, 2 heavy. The drop rate on those shoulders should be a lot higher, that's all i'm saying.

Drop rate is probably the same for every piece. You are just having bad luck.

Ahh, Slimecraw... My old nemesis. I didn’t care what the trait or weight was and it took me 42 keys to finally get one.

With me, it's Ilambris shoulders that refuse to drop.
I have tons of Slimecraw, though, including in medium. I'd give you one if I could.

Make sure your character is wearing mix of light and heavy armor before opening the chest. The only way to explain the absolute abysmal RNG, is that the game looks at what you are wearing and gives you the opposite.

One more thing, make sure the slimecraw helm is not in your inventory, not even in the bank. Put it in one of those storage chests.

Yeah! I mean, aside from that, the only other way to explain it would be RNG being random! But we all know that doesn't make sense!

Precisely. If I recall correctly Rich Lambert once posted on this topic exactly and confirmed that it's even across the board. Might have been about Maestrom weapons though, idk. Really I just don't think there's reason to believe there's any variation in the drop rate, they'd have to do extra work to make that happen and for zero benefit.

I know it can be frustrating waiting for the specific piece to drop. It will eventually make its way back to The Golden though if nothing else.

I've never once had a single blood spawn shoulder drop from a chest after who knows how many keys.

I swear it knows which ones you have, don't have and really want. Then gives you everything but what you need.

I opened 150 times trying to get the exact same thing you are. I pulled 4. 3 lights and one heavy, gg.

For 2 years (before xmute came along) my wife tried before she got the right traited shoulders.

RNG can suck at times.

Are you opening the chests on a character that has medium armor maxed?

I find that you always have a higher chance to get stuff you don't need for your character, meaning my MagSorc will get lots of medium armor and stamina stuff while my StamBlade will get lots of light armor and magicka stuff.

Same holds true for dungeon boss drops. When i'm farming for a specific set i always use a character that has the complete opposite build to what i'm farming for.

I had slimecraw drop for me SIX times in a row, when I have gone through almost 40 keys looking for the Bloodspawn shoulders.
RNGesus is against me.

I don't know, I seem to get very random weights, I'd imagine the RNG is actually random. I do get a fair amount of lights for my light-wearing sorc (but rarely in Slimecraw). I did get a light Slimecraw the other day, thankfully

6 days, 25 keys later(skipped a day), and not a single Slimecraw. At this point i just want it for the sake of having it, i doubt i'll even use it.

Slime shoulders were up December 2017 2017-12-29.

You should have seen about 5 or 6 in that pull. With about 15-18 Slimecraw pieces total. So, yeah, that's just terrible luck.

To be fair, the drop rate for any specific weight, trait, and set from Maj or Glirion should be about 0.347%, but that has more to do with how many potential shoulders can drop. You've only got an 8.3% chance of getting the set you want at all.

I agree with the others, its RNG hell. I have been blessed with getting Grothdarr shoulders all the time. Sure, I get other sets, but I am currently averaging one Grothdarr for every 5 keys used on that chest
