Has also anyone lost his/her character when subscribing to the game?

Yesterday I subscribed for 3 months and lost my early-access-character on my account. Name's "Alea Telvani" - and she's gone now. No idea how and why. Already contacted support, in German (for phone calls) and in English (mail support), 'though no reply yet, not even if someone is working at the issue.

Latest ticket (English): 140405-007844. Im quite sure nobody is dealing with tickets at the weekend, which is fine since people deserve weekends, but I really want to know if -anyone- noticed that ticket at all.

Does anybody miss one character of his/her account since start of a subscription?

Yeah, "Alea Telvani" is just level 9 and not that many hours got invested yet, still I want her back, even if it's just for the "I-love-to-keep-my-original-characters-in-MMOGs-stuff" :)

Did they delete your character because of the name you used, "Telvani" even though it isn't exactly the right spelling - "Telvanni"?

I didn't get any notification for abusing / using that name. It also wasn't forbidden, blocked or anything else when creating. Also, no GM told me it was wrong to use the name.

"Telvani" is correct - from a roleplay-point, "Telvani" is a branch of the "Telvanni House" that got separated a few centuries ago and exists outside Morrowind. The second "n" got dropped somewhere between that separation and today, making "Telvani" and entirely new house.

Besides that: if the name is really an issue, I'm okay with changing that name to something else, maybe "Alea Ellani" or something. I just want my character back. :)

It does seem weird they'd just delete it and not flag it for a name change. Maybe this is a new bug :I

I'm absolutely sure I simply got hit (or beaten to death) by the GIANT BAT OF UNLUCK (tm) of that early-access-explorer-pack bug.

You know, the very same bug that removes random stuff from your bank account ingame or removes your pet, your explorer maps and such. In my case, it removed the character entirely.

Which gives me the idea the game's databank is not very secure / stable / you name it. If it's prone to bugs / missassignments etc, it would explain a lot of things.

Well, I keep my fingers crossed. I don't give up the hope my character will be recovered by support team, 'though I don't think it's going to happen in the next two or three days. There is simply too much stuff broken, support is busy to fix 'em all.

Truth is? Beta test phase was too short and didn't touch all issues. Every MMOG has a rocky start, but ESO does seem to have some major issues with said databank. Either it's lazy programming or bug-pile-up rendering the databank broken as it is. If it's the later case, we might see more bugs like those. If the databank got programmed badly, it can be fixed.
