    They agree with it though (reps)... they have thrown the PvE side of the game under the bus to appease the vocal PvP mainers...

    Also if they claim they were not involved and have no influence then what use are they!

    Listen, my shield is 24k currently on live, due to this change it'll be about 7200 now. Literally still 5000% better than a cast time....

    For those that don't feel like doing math like me, that's a 70% nerf. But at least i don't have to use hardened ward anymore, and I can put the points i have into bastion into resistances. So yay

    Listen, my shield is 24k currently on live, due to this change it'll be about 7200 now. Literally still 5000% better than a cast time....

    It seems these changes were made after the class reps had the meeting, if you have issues with the new changes then you need to go to the dedicated thread and post them there, just like before.

    Cast time is fine for PvE, a healer can lay down HoTs and the DD can know mechanics and shield n block at appropriate times... now its a mess with weak ass panic shields on a meta where high DPS is required and shields should only be used at certain times, due to mechanics.

    Strong in pve, yet end game trials pretty much require them because of the sheer amount of dmg and aoe's.

    Weak in pvp and are only going to be weaker.

    No cast time encourages panic button PvP... its a L2P issue.

    Both 2 shield system are over.

    In pve, DPS is dps, we cannot adjust to 30k hp.

    If dev think healer is required, throw us the solution, cast something can save 6 mag dps at the same time.

    Pretty sure this was based off a pve decision.

    Zos decided to nerf nb sustain slightly in pve as they're the only class who don't need to heavy attack and that is one of the reasons why their dps is so high. Hence why they also increased the execute cost.

    Having a very high dmg skill which is the main priority skill in a nb rotation be free to cast and you can get 3-4 casts per buff is likely why it now has a cost.

    I think they changed whip to homogenise skills with that type after deciding bow changes.

    Changing from cast time to gimped shields was a PvP decision

    Why are you talking about NBs and whips, stay on subject.

    You dont have to adapt... you still run the panic button as always was the option in PvP

    Cast time = 1 second (probably more) with 0 dps, 0 extra mitigation which in end game PvE and in PvP = death, no way about it.

    Unless you knew exactly when the mech was happening you were dead. Some mechs unless you can cast a shield and block or dodge at the same time you were dead.

    With the new shields you can cast 2-3 in the same time 1 completed, but you can still maneuver, block, roll, dps while this is happening. Plus they're now affected by resistances I only see this as a slight nerf & is something I can live with.

    Yes...the behavior of resist on shields is for all shields. That's why these two got targeted and nerfed...

    If you dont know the mechanics and are poor at playing then yes a cast time will be an issue that even the gimped shield cannot help with.

    Mechs in all trials and dungeons are pretty straightforward...

    Stop trying to present your PvP issues as PvE ones.

    Cant see what PVP complainer could see this as an improvement. Its just the end of any light armor build in PVP, so each magicka DD is basically gutted.

    Cant see what PVP complainer could see this as an improvement. Its just the end of any light armor build in PVP, so each magicka DD is basically gutted.

    Youd be surprised, a lot of the cast time complainers seem to be happy with this change... basically they flooded the forum to get what they wanted.

    That's kinda the point. This is about reducing the over-dependence on shields by magDPS. As opposed to balancing for actual survival.

    As I did with the cast time shields, I'll run vMA on my magsorc with the new change. Same build. I'll record and suffer for everyone.
