Styles...too many, small variety, anything core...ways to go

Maybe there should be less motifs per patch but with more interesting design?
My subjective - i don't want to collect most of pos-Summerset styles already, i've similar or more interesting looking old ones. And they are also similar between each other.Hard even to choose.

@ZOS_GinaBruno Maybe it's time to think about implementing cloaks? Or scabbards for weapons (with for example fastening on the back for axes and swords) into eso? Or new type of weapons, which is not about styles but about fighting system:D (Spears for example). It's ideas for next chapter in that direction

I support cloaks, spears, and a one sword-magic in off hand weapon style. These are the things we need.

I'd love cloaks to be in the game! I can imagine there will be lots of clipping issues with it though.

Cloaks need to happen. That is one of the best parts of MMOs.

Spears are a weapon that existed in this time period that should be in the game. Something beyond the Templar's Piercing Javelin.

One hand and spell has been discussed, and is true to the original games. This should be looked into.

My problem is that there are too many motifs in game. I have all pre-Summerset motifs collected, but I decided to stop chasing them. I just can't spend all my time farming mats to get gold for motifs or farm motifs themselves.

know that big flag boss that stomp around in Imperial sewers,

a chestpiece with that big flag on the back would be pretty sweet as a motif B)

Some times ago it was an idea to change guild tabards for something like this flag. If decreased a bit then more players are willing to share their colours, incl. me.

PC EU (PL): 14 characters. ESO player since 06.08.2015. Farkas finest quote: "Some people don't think I'm smart. Those people get my fist. But you, I like."

Personally I think the basic racial ones are some of the best. They're great and look authentically elder scrolls. Many of the later ones not so much.

    I feel the same way.

It doesn't suck to loot a motif page I don't have but chasing them seems pointless.

The only incentive to get them all is for master writs. But the game punishes you for not having them all. Being less likely to get writ jobs is fine. But also earning fewer writs for the rare big jobs while having to use the same amount of materials sucks. So I stopped doing them.

In Tameriel, they have figured out how to master the arcane arts and even raise the dead. Once you start talking about putting a dagger on a long pole, unarmed or warhammers it gets too complicated........

Kind of like how Crossbows were incredibly common in Morrowind but a few centuries later in Skyrim they were treated as some new fancy invention nobody had ever thought of before.

I don't understand. What's it to you if they add more styles? Nobody tells you to use them if you don't want to.
I'm already looking forward to collecting the motifs from Wolfhunter dungeons.
Alandrol Sul: He's making another Numidium?!?
Vivec: Worse, buddy. They're buying it.

if u want to use certain in outfit for example, u can ~comfortably do that now only with keywords.
list is too big, but very many are very similar or ugly, or floating in the air or collisioning ~ 90% are just for long list but not for use.
like in supermarket, where u coming to buy 3 things, but forced to walk a mile to find them.
And getting stunned before 100+ similar frying pans at the wall for example.
    bad design, wrong way

Ugh, cloaks are awful. As long as they are cosmetic (not armor with stats) and can be turned off, that'd be fine. That way I could avoid the hell out of them.

(Personally, I'm not a fan of scabbards, packs, cloaks, and any other additional "you look like a hobo with all those things you're carrying" stuff. It might be was a 'realistic' adventurer would need to be carrying, but I'm far more interested in looking 'cool'. Where cool means "not combat hobo". ;) I've definitely never downloaded any of the 'show all the weapons you have favorited, in scabbards!' mods for Oblivion/Skyrim/Fallout3/etc)

I remember in daggerfall there were polearms, I believe in Morrowind as well. Maybe they are concerned with balance and the player base ripping them to shred. Also if they attach new skills, weapons and classes, it won't be long before the "pay to win" group jumps on them.

The ideas I've seen from players have been really good and help fill gaps in the currently weapon classes. They would also need to create new motifs for all of the new weapons which I imagine would get people excited with further customization. There are a lot of missed opportunities though. An unarmed skill line would have been perfect to release with dark brotherhood, a crossbow during thieves guild, pole arms during murkmire, necro class or skill line for fang lair. I would love to see them be a little more adventurous.

Really though, a Dagger, a long stick, get stabby stabby. Not one of Tameriel's greatest minds have thought of it haha

Same situation with writs for me. Stopped doing them, too

Yeah. When I say that I want capes, I want them just to be a cosmetic that can be added if the user wishes. No stats on them at all.
