Make surge Heal Pets?

I'm fairly certain surge does not currently heal pets. So my thinking is that it could to make up for the nerf to ward. Without ward pets die easy and if twilight is to be an option to add survivability in pvp it can be easily eliminated. Surge healing both you and your pets could potentially keep them alive in place of ward.

No. Without shield pets just get rekt too fast and easy. Relatively small and unreliable healing from surge would not change that. If that cursed cast-time really is added to shields sorcs need burst-heal ability outside pets and pets health should be at least doubled.

Well, I actually like the idea to be able to heal the pets passively from Surge, which would work with a buff to their survivability.

Though after trying every class pet out there, I prefer the invulnerable pet nightblades get, the Dark Shade. It is balanced to not be overpowered in damage itself and is guaranteed to be alive for the utility it provides to be reliable.
I actually wish sorcerer pets behaved the same, being on a timer and invulnerable and mainly for lower damage and better utility, as nightblade pets. This would also make it less likely that the pets would be in the way in the bank or at a vendor blocking me from doing business.

I do wish the nightblade pets didn't require targets though, the Dark Shade melee one since the other morph may already be that way.

Doesn't matter. Pets are non viable in end game PvE and PvP. All they're good for is helping new players not die to over land mobs.

Except, the invulnerable Dark Shade is great for nightblades in all content because guaranteed Minor Maim while doing some damage is never a bad thing, especially since they buffed the melee pet to do it as an AoE.

That's where pets can shine, if they are allowed to survive and provide utility in a smarter easier to use form than something like a completely stationary smaller ground AoE or a single target debuff that does hardly anything else and costs too much resources and time to spam on everything.

Yeah, true. I was thinking more in context of the sorc pets. The atro is the only decent one out of those.
