Another payment method is Paypal. I don't know how it Works in Japan but here in Brazil we can do either from bank accounts or credit card. The issue you might have is that the funds in your paypal in any way you put might be in yenes and I wasn't able to purchase anything in dolars with my own currency balance in paypal. If you going to add a bank account might take some work days to them confirm.

But I am curious, you bought an MMO and was surprised that it need a credit card to pay for a subscription? Not trying to be rude but is this your first MMO and did you do no research prior to actually purchasing (which I'm guessing you didn't order via credit card or had someone buy it for you).
