That credit card thing_____no alternatives?

lelouchlewis
I preordered and I get no credit card, does it mean that I waste my money and can't play this game after 2014/04/06? Why can't tell us earlier about this damn credit card thing? Even no alternatives? In Japan, It's not so easy to get a credit card when U are just a student.___1st the imperial edition, now this.I must say,the game is good, but your maketers are the worst I've ever met, never being considerate and thoughtful of your own customers. It's a shame that great company Bethesda has to work with Zenimax.
[PS: I'm more a PC gamer, If what I said is wrong, It is hoped that the readers will kindly point out my errors.]

Another payment method is Paypal. I don't know how it Works in Japan but here in Brazil we can do either from bank accounts or credit card. The issue you might have is that the funds in your paypal in any way you put might be in yenes and I wasn't able to purchase anything in dolars with my own currency balance in paypal. If you going to add a bank account might take some work days to them confirm.

If you are planning to use PayPal, be sure to do it as soon as possible. It takes quite a long time before your bank account is linked to your PayPal account.

On Amazon I ordered(& received) a game time card along with the game.
Amazon Japan also offers this, I hope they offer more diverse payment options too.

Pre-paid cards (which will probably be easier in the long run) or PayPal I would suggest also (although I personally don't like PayPal).

But I am curious, you bought an MMO and was surprised that it need a credit card to pay for a subscription? Not trying to be rude but is this your first MMO and did you do no research prior to actually purchasing (which I'm guessing you didn't order via credit card or had someone buy it for you).

Your post pretty much says "I have no idea how this all this works, so I will blame Zenimax." Just saying..

Thx for ur reply. I have to admit that what U said is right. This is my first MMO, and I'm lack of experience about it. It's my US friend that helped me buy the pre-order.

This is a world-wide game.My Chinese friends told me that some TES fans in China even play this game with VPN,which lags so much. Since different countries have different situations(guess it's called market research.), I just hope they could offer more diverse payment options.

Your reply is rather distasteful. You must live under the assumption that everyone ownes a credit card or uses Paypal.

When ZOS advertised this game, they stated prepaid time cards would be available as a valid payment method. THEY should have had those available in store ready to purchase at least a month before launch. There is no excuse for why they didn't. unless they are trying to force as many people as possible to use credit and paypal as they can.

Additionally, I prefer the prepaid card method. I can buy the number of months I want ahead of time. Family can buy me cards for birthdays and xmas and I don't end up with surprise charges because something happened and I forgot to cancel my subscription.

On top of that, I haven't seen a subbed MMO not offer prepaid cards yet.
Far too many characters to list any more.
