Destructible bridges?

What's the point of making the Niben river bridges destructible?

Assuming they will nearly always be destroyed it will be difficult for AD to get into EP territory and vice-versa. Doesn't this put DC at a significant advantage in each campaign?

Seems like a bad idea to me

    You can repair them with special repair kits, and the walls/gates between the other alliances can also be destroyed and repaired.

    it will make the crowds spread out more, helping make less lagg, it will also make alliances come up with allot more strategies for getting scrolls AND taking those scrolls to their alliances.
    it will also make the stupid mile gate and stupid allesia bridge fights no more!!
    theres allot of reasons, i only listed a few ...

    will also create allot more small fights and more solo scouts like myself able to be worth alot more as we will see the herds traveling to certain bridges ect ect ...

    It's interesting, but will have to wait and see how it works. I assume this is designed to cut back on the eternal Alessia bridge AP farm. I like the idea in theory.

    I think it'll add some strategy and make for battles in new locales instead of the same ole places. I'm excited to try it out.

    @rumple9 No, DC won't have an advantage. While there are no bridges connecting DC to the other alliances, there are milegates - choke points that funnel players in a similar fashion to the bridges between AD and EP. Take the gate between Chalman and Bleakers for example. This will become destructable so that nobody can pass through anymore.
    This Bosmer was tortured to death. There is nothing left to be done.

    I've heard that the bridges and gates repair very quickly. If a raid needs to cross a broken bridge and half of them repair, it would take about 15 seconds to repair the bridge/gate enough to cross.

    The core reason we are making bridges and milegates destroyable/repairable is to give you control over land directly. Transit to Keeps and structures is one thing, but being able to flat out block entry into your territory is something Cyrodiil doesn't have yet, and we wanted to provide that layer of tactics with this update.

    Do you all understand that you've never addressed the Cyrodil terrain imbalance regarding keeps?

    I think the concept makes great sense.
    What's being missed if where the OP and many previous posts with the introduction of Imperial City point out the map layout is in a way that largely puts one alliance at a disadvantage. This is further going to make that worse.

    I am still wondering how those huge ships got through the narrow opening...I mean yeah they could have been build in the moat...but for what purpose...if they can't be moved out...

    Finally, i will lock far more often into PVP, just to make sure that Allesoa Bridge is destroyed, how often did we lose a Keep because people just loved having a Bridgefight. Good Riddance Allesia Bridge, the best change in the upcoming update
