So I've seen a thing in zone chat lately where people will offer to indirectly sell crowns in exchange for gold (by buying requested items from crown store to gift to someone who gives them gold in exchange).
Is this acceptable? It's not against TOS or anything?
Also, how are these things done? Is there a way to ensure that the gifted player does in fact give the gold, and vice versa, to prevent possible scamming?
Thanks

All they need is for ZoS to add the arrow sign spinner emote.
I still dont like it. People getting millions just cause they have decent paychecks...
I see it as an equalizer, really. It opens up access to crowns to those who simply cannot afford them and opens up gold more gold options to those who, perhaps, don't have the time or desire to do what it takes to rake in the millions in game in a more "traditional" way.
I imagine this is also a nice boost for ZoS and in turn, hopefully, the game in general as I have a strong feeling that more crowns are being bought these days because of this system and ZoS's allowance of the crown for gold trade.
I see no significant downside to this, really so long as a proportionate amount of the game's related financial success leaks back into the quality and quantity of content and general game experiences, events, etc.

@ZOS_GinaBruno @ZOS_JessicaFolsom @ZOS_RobGarrett This is just one example for how unfair and unbalanced crown store items for gold trade is.
Please restrict or disallow it, it doesn't look good for you ZOS, it isn't decent for a gaming company such as you to allow gold buying.
A simple step to restrict it will go a long way:
The number of gifts an account can deliver, for example:
1 gift of 1-500 crowns per week.
1 gift of 501-1,000 crowns per month.
1 gift of 1,001-1,500 crowns per 2 months.
1 gift of 1,501-3,000 crowns per 3 months.
1 gift of 3,001-5,000+ crowns per 6 months.

$8,000 in crown sales =/= 533 ESO+ months
Its not unbalanced.

It doesn't matter.
Players shouldn't get rich because they used their real money.
It's gold buying, almost same like gold buying from bots, just in this case ZOS makes the profit.
So basically ZOS is selling the gold while the players exchange the in-game virtual items and currency.

Players buy gold while they made no in-game effort to obtain.
They didn't use the legit in-game methods for obtaining gold, such as: farming raw mats and selling the refined mats and tempers through guild traders etc.
They quite literally:
1) They Used their credit card to buy crown packs.
2) They bought the crown store items.
3) They exchanged the crown store items for in-game gold.
There is no doubt it is P2W.

You can buy whatever bind on equip set item or upgrade your armor/weapons/jewelry much more easily with having a lot of gold.
It can provide an advantage when bidding on a guild trader over guilds who don't buy gold.
The list goes on.
