I cried so hard for Lyris when she spoke to her father

You do not need to threaten the world is ending

We know that will not happen. Stendarr preserves it and we need it otherwise there is nothing to play

So it never hits home

But when you tell personal stories and endear us to companions, 5 of them, we all have heart and love

You cannot make it about us. we are two many too count to. We are everything and nothing, we are the world, and we are without end.

But Lyris is vulnerable and we love her.

and have character development, "do this and 200 gold will be yours" thats it, done, EVER, you will not see them ever again. I do NOT want this

Can we have a story like this please? in near future? I'm sure myself are not interested in warewolf, because they basically replacing the base skyrim game into ESO as seperate DLCs.

You people better be putting some skyrim/oblivion characters in to next TES game, like tullius,legate rikke and that lusty argonian from solitude docks.

Vast majority of players want it like it is now. That is why the game is such a great success. I dont like it, but im a small minority, like you are too with what you want with the game. It's never gonna happen. What you want only comes in small niche games, or with mods in singleplayer games that allows modding.

Play TES3 Morrowind then. You save just a part of the world, and by a side effect. In expansions you save yourself.

Thats basically all anyone does.
What happens is some, perhaps many, are determined to make their own way in this universe regardless of the consequences.

This is why contention exists, why war exists, and why the subjective morality of good and evil and/or light and dark exist.
Ultimately, the universe doesnt give a single fudge about what any of its inhabitants think.
So we're all "saving" the Universe we are trying to make our way though, for one person: Ourselves.

Sure... I have my characters that save the world, but then I have my character that started talking to a Speaker in Anvil one day, and took a different path. Not to mention that the fences he sees regularly aren't too interested in saving the world. Also, some of the side quests aren't really about saving the world. In Summerset, you have a professor trying to take notes, only to be stressed out about Goblins and Elves... and in the end, I'm not sure you are saving anything. Also, the Aproxis quests are interesting in Summerset. Nope. Not really saving the world. Sometimes you might be saving a relationship (maybe?), but in the end, you're kind of wondering on some of those. Oh, and forgetabout doing the quests in Ryllenthil with the actors. Do you ever "save" anybody there? It leaves you with good questions. So... yeah, I'm not sure that everything they are programming is geared to saving the world or Queen Ayrenn.

I wasn't saving the galaxy in swtor. I was putting down jedi, forcechoking people and eventually killed my former master. I wish you could be an evil *** in eso main questline and not just in 2 small DLCs.

My Vestige saved Tamriel from Molag Bal and the Daedric Triad. Someone's gotta do it.

My Silencer, on the other hand, robbed and murdered her way through Clockwork City, the Psijic Order, and the College of Sapiarchs before smashing the Court of Bedlam's plan because if anyone gets to claim the world, its going to be Sithis.

Sure, the game generally treats you like a fine, upstanding citizen. But that doesn't mean you have to roleplay one.

Easier done than said. Load up TES3 Morrowind, go and kill Caius Cosades, Vivec, Divayth Fyr or any other essential character. Sever the threads of the prophecy, and persist in the doomed world you have created. You can always restore the weave of fate at a later point (if you so choose) by rummaging through Vivec's things.

Fixed that for you.

In the base game Molag was going to pull the entirety of Nirn into Coldharbour, not just Tamriel, which is a single continent on Nirn.

And in the DLC main story arc "The Daedric War" you save all of Mundus from being destroyed and remade in Nocturnal's image and the sole ruler of all of it, ridding the other Princes permanently.

And yes saving the world get boring, saving an village on the other hand. Note that this also let the quest fail without serious consequences. Still love the main quest in Daggerfall, the primary quest appeared as the specter plaguing daggerfall.
