Just got the achievement yesterday, don’t particularly care but hey, free stuff!

Maybe by some miracle we will reach the 66% mark but a full 100% I don't think so. Sounds implausible.

Sure, sure. Really don't care about the rewards but I'll take an afternoon off and go sightseeing. Every bit helps, right.

I'm not positive the house is obtainable this way realistically, particularly since we don't know what we have to hit in order to reach the goal.

At this point, I hope that the 'magical invisible numbers' that we have to reach will be doable at least to the horse.

I confess that I'm not feeling very generous today, insofar as giving Zeni the benefit of the doubt on this one... so take my saltiness with... well, a grain of salt.

Great news! Yesterday it was at 20%.

Today? It's at 20%...

Come on! Let's do it, I want the house so as the pet and horse! Buy that Summerset and do the achievement, advertise it guys!

I think we can, considering we are already at 20%. They want us to reach 100%, so 100% is not everyone who bought Summerset.

For anyone unaware. Get your Summerset Pathfinder Achievement by locating all points of interest on Summerset and Artaeum. (The locations that are eyes on the map.)
This is per account only, so don't bother getting it on all your characters. Counts once per account.

If you already have it you're good. You are already counted in the tally, so you can relax.

This is very exciting really. A huge community wide event and community wide rewards.
That pony, mount and house all look awesome. Want it? Just do some exploring, doesn't take long.

Too hard to say after 1 day, and the meter hasn't moved yet.

But, I will say this. Posting in here won't get very far towards helping. Anyone who actually reads the forums, already knows about it. People in here have to tell their guildmates and discuss it on streams. Also, it is per account per server. So you can get the achievement on the other server if nothing else.

Just need to get it on PC EU and I'm done. I want the house

Even for a person without all Wayshrines open, it shouldn't take more then an hour or two to walk/ride up to all of these areas!

The only problem I can see is, we don't really know the hard "target number" they're using to get us to the "100%". Is it 100% of people who've purchased? 100% of active accts? 100% of people from a starting point? etc!

It will be interesting to watch the live "marker" once active and see how it reacts in real-time as people are getting the ach.

We don't know the real target number, but it would irrelevant even if they told us. It wouldn't mean anything, because we don't know enough about the underlying details.

All people can do is get the word out. If you have rapids, this is a 20-30 minute achievement. Tell guildies, zone chat, streams, etc.

I'll help if anyone well-off wants to gift me summerset on steam.

I fully expect the progress bar to leap when it's updated when the event starts.

All of my guilds are pushing this event. I spent hours yesterday myself hyping, answering questions, and grouping people to help them earn the achievement.

And that is exactly what Zenimax hopes to achieve: creating a massive collaborative event, leveraging players like me to hype in-game communications channels, and testing whether such events can motivate massive numbers of players to drop everything else to play together towards a common goal.

It's not about pushing additional sales of Summerset, although that is important. It's not about the lost revenue from sales of the Psijiic Grand Villa that may be given away; the insight from this test is of greater value than the risk.

It's about developing new ways to engage the player community through game activity. Many MMO publishers are exploring this area, perhaps in response to a famous MMO that has been wildly successful with events of this nature.

I firmly believe that Zenimax wants us to succeed. I think they're closely watching the player activity between the announcement and the official event start. I hope they are just as enthusiastic about our immediate response as we are excited about the incredible prizes.

I want this to work. Zenimax wants this to work. And if it does, I believe we can look forward to more and better Summerfall events in the future; a more robust player community, and opportunity for entities outside of the Zenimax family to participate.
