I would still play sorc if/when I play but I will definitely ditch the gutted magicka builds. There are too many games and DLC releases just on the horizon for me to care all that much atm. Hell I am still struggling to get this months 2 free crown crates from the login daily lol..

From the sounds of it the state of the game will be where it was several updates ago when all the vet content was done with 100% stamina and occasionally a heavy armor player.

I already dont slot shields unless trying to survive in a terrible pug group or doing trials. However now, I don't know how I'll be able to do trials with all of my survivability options gone...

I already have no surivability in PVP on Sotha Sil because shields were already crap and we can't use rune cage anymore to give ourselves breathing room. Can't play on a CP-enabled campaign because I regularly have 300 ping.

I've been playing magsorc since beta, and every time they nerf us to Oblivion I -try- and play stam or adjust by using pets, but I just hate it. I always end up going back to magsorc in spite of how badly they are handled in balance changes and how much it gimps me in certain content, simply because it's the only class I enjoy playing. Most of my alts are level 20ish because I don't like playing them.

SO, I'm not happy about the nerf hammer hitting us yet again (and yet we are somehow still OP?), but it will not stop me from playing my magsorc.

No. I don't like to play as a sorc, never have never will. Also i think sorcs should be restricted to Magicka use only. Shields should have a cast time of 10 seconds and they should have 25% chance of exploding themselves when using curse.

Not sure. I have nearly all my hours in the game on my sorc and I do both PvP and PvE. While I really don't want to be trash tier, I don't want to switch over from a character I've put so much time into.

I have a few ideas for working builds for magicka sorcerer.
It won't be the same but it may still be viable.

Went with yes - I've played a sorc-type character since Daggerfall, why change now? Besides, if they wreck the class, they'll probably fix it in a later patch. That's assuming I don't get bored playing a hobbled class and find a different game altogether in the interim.

My various sorcerers will be fine, as all my characters are whenever there are changes - but then I don't play PvP or competitive/group PvE. I do welcome such changes tho', as they keep the game fresh. I play MMOs for years, and would hate it if they never evolved. I do appreciate that for the comparatively small number of highly competitive players who are unwilling or unable to adapt there are always likely to be problems with such changes, however, although I do think some of them overreact too much and too soon.

I kinda of do want them to make this change. Any cast time on shields will be a death sentence for mag sorcs or any mag classes. Even a 0.2 cast time. I'll happily melt mag classes with my stam sorc crit build especially now shields will almost 100% be critable now. Oh they want to go the heavy route because shields will now scale with resistance? Say good bye to your sustain and your damage out put as if it isn't already trash in light armor. If you think it's hard killing a stam class now. Lol just wait for next patch

Yes BUT only because my magsorc is my main that I've had since the beginning. She won't be doing anymore trials and if she doesn't hurry up and finish vMA I doubt she ever will. My trials guild prefers magNBs anyway, so I'm levelling one of those, but I'm not as good with it as a class that I have played for 4.5 years. I'm an old dog and learning new tricks doesn't come easy

Having said that, I may well take a break anyway. I've got a Steam library full of half-finished games and there's some new games upcoming that look awesome. Also my Switch is covered in dust...

No I wont play a sorc. Its my favorite calss but even now I play a nightblade as it is stronger (power level is required for trial groups instead of personal preferences). Next patch if they revert the shield 1 second cast times I will still play a night blade and most likely try out magicka DK or even better a maticka templar as on paper that looks like very strong.

Yes, because I'm a new player, quests and other early and mid-game PvE content would still be doable anyway. Probably.
And I won't do PvP.

Already switched to stamdk for dc and magplar for ep. 3 dead magsorcs 1 dead stamsorc.
