I only do pet sorcs already, since my lag is so bad. Pets are run server-side, which can at least mitigate in small part 2-second lag.

Still hoping they don’t go through with it, but I do have a stamsorc I play a lot too. I started playing magsorc in may if 2017 and couldn’t get into it but after playing it awhile and running through some end game content I started doing everything with it. I don’t understand why ppl say it’s the easy class or whatever but I can do flawless vMA on any other mag class just as easy as sorc, but they’re not as fun to me. The style of the abilities is what appeals to me. All in all I guess I’d shield changes go through I’ll have to have a high crit build to utilize surge as much as possible because I will not slot a ward that has a cast time. Dumbest move ever.

OP you should mention Magicka Sorc in the Title (edit your 1st post)... as is it leaves it open for Stam Sorcs as well which is likely not your intention..

No. Already experienced this on the PTS. Don't like it. Nothing fast paced about a one second cast time for damage shields.

Of course. It's the only class thats fun for me in this game. And if the sorc hate keeps up, I'm going to make a troll sorc and just interfere with stam groups and pvp campaigns. just to even things out a bit lol

Probably wont even play the game anymore to be honest. I quit for 8 months and came back because my friend begged me to come back to it. He quit playing 2 months ago so if these current changes go live, with the shields and the nerfs to magblade I'll probably hang up my hat as I hate wardens, templars, or dks.

All this shield sh*tstorm is making us ignore the changes to other things like dark deal.

Dark deal was one of the iconic stamsorc skills. Now they have gutted that one too. Even tough I haven't seen anyone bitching about stamsorcs of late.

this pole wont be an accurate pole just so you know, theres 10 classes in the game, magic sorcerer being one class. so you have 90% of the population that plays other classes and A are either complicit or would advocate for these changes because shields are the only thing opposing them from getting a free kill. HOW CAN YOU BE SO FOOLISH

I'm very annoyed with the removal of our 3rd bar and a cast time on our primary damage shields makes them significantly less useful when you actually need them, but the class as a whole still appeals to me. The main reason I'm still playing my sorc is due to it being my main. She still has plenty of enemies to slay and lands to explore.

In PvP I have less utility for myself and others due to the loss of my 3rd bar. I'll still play PvP to pass the time, but only in groups.

Never used the third bar. Won't miss it. Already practicing getting gud without a shield now...not gonna leave my Tamriel Hero just because ONE playstyle was nerfed.

[PvE Scenario/Magicka Sorcerer]

In my case, I wouldn't want to play it in PvE. No, the class isn't "dead", but it's just not enjoyable at all. Firstly, the magicka sustain is very poor, even with the Exchange changes. Second, the damage is mediocre compared to the other classes. Third, it has the worst execute in the game! The damage is fixed from 20% HP to 0.1% HP, at least let it scale up to a % damage.

Mag Templar, Mag NB, Mag DK, and hell even Mag Warden are hitting much higher, PLUS they have superior sustain.

The only reason I would want to play this class, is for when the group needs Conduit synergy for Alkosh, and Minor Prophecy for the 6% Spell Critical.

Eh, maybe for PvP, Im just over 6k hours myself and my MagSorc was still pulling his weight on the PTS for endgame PvE content.

I have a mag and stam version of each class, so I get nerfed and buffed into oblivion. I think my tank will be ok, he's used to damage.
