lol. Maybe if I did anything even remotely similar to Alcast. Builds/clickbait and generally anything that has to do with combat and balance are not my area at all. Don't worry

Haaaaaaaaaaaahahahahaaaaaaaahahahahahaaaaaaaaaahhhhhaaaaaaaaaaaaaahaaaaaaaaaaahaaaaaaahaaaaaaahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!
I'm going hunting for magnb myself. Detect pots, keep my wings up, and they only have one shield with a delay. Spam flame reach and cc yourself. I also run blade cloak and keep them out of cloak. With that new set that takes up 5500 health from their next heal and they are just ap cookies.
Sounds just *kind* of broken right? Almost like that is a bad system to put in place

@MissBizz
So you’re up for it?
Not trolling

That's a different Emma.

maybe i should do like some of you folks and just keep 2 versions of each class instead of making stuff i have fun with.
Funny how everyone says its just noob Sorcs crying on here, learn to adapt etc etc - then Alcast speaks and boom they STFU.
Didn't make me stop.
Alcast's streaming opinion really holds no sway in my book.
My assessment of Alcast?
He makes awesome guides!
Has a deeper understanding of builds and the way they affect combat.
But I wouldn't trust him to make balance decisions when those decisions affect the classes he enjoys the most.
^ Just another player like anyone else in regard to personal bias.

They’ll either shut down what’s left or increase subscription rates to make up for the lost revenue. Just trying to help you get a clue on how these things work. You have a lot of PvE casuals that aren’t on these forums who will logon one day and their main toon won’t work. Many will go so far as to see the new cast time as a bug. They will just quit game and move on. Silently without saying a word. You should really think through the overall repercussions of that with regards to the game you seem to enjoy.
Well... PvE casuals don't have a deep enough knowledge or skill to even notice the change is that bad. Most people can't even keep a fast paced rotation or use animation cancel, all this for someone who doesn't play the game everyday or doesn't read the forums, well... It's irrelevant. They just adapt easier because they are not even that used to their toons rotation anyway. Most just have good looking skills with no synergy between them or the sets they use... Do you think not having an insta shield will make any difference? It won't. I'll tell you more, even for daily casual players it won't matter because they don't play end game veteran pve content, only, as you said so yourself, casual content aka normal.
Nah... This is just another case of usual crybabies being crybabies, only this time is a very popular OP-AF class/play-style, so the crying is a lot louder.
And I do agree that it was a heavy handed take, 1s is too much, .5s would be more than enough to achieve what they want, but this will only ever affect end game hardcore players, as it's true with absolutely every balance ever in every game. Casuals just enjoy the fun. Casuals won't create a full new character or spend a crapton of money to rebuild. They are, obviously, just casuals. The very definition of casual being that you're just enjoying the game, not going full on hardcore. Balancing changes are, for business stand point, never bad. Even more so, they are beneficial as it gives purpose to hardcore people and makes casuals more competitive for when they decide to take on a challenge.
Sorcs are undoubtedly op, or they wouldn't be as popular. Same for NB, who will, pay attention to what I'm saying now, get nerfed for real soon, just like sorcs were.
And screw meta-mimic players. Most lack the creativity to work around nerfs, so they whine because they'll be weak and useless until alkast tells them what to do. That's the root of all the issues here, btw. Whiny mimic meta-only players.
Is "member of Hodor" supposed to mean something to me? Or "top PvE player"?
God all this over just a cast time for shields. Maybe take this as a reason to not build so squishy?

There's two of you now.
Logical step is a fight to the death for name rights.
Alcast is a famous, multiple classes top PvE player, member of Hodor and more.
He's also the guy who streamed a blind Dark Souls run (first time he ever seen the game) and completed 2 hours of it! Yeah the same game most quickly just give up because of how difficult it is.
Now, Alcast has just posted a video where he lists a number of reasons why, if the nerfs go through, magsorcs are DEAD. R.I.P.
Some of his clearly not "politically correct" quotes in the video:
"Death sentence for sorcs".
"I don't know who thought this was a good idea".
"Who comes up with this kind of ideas".
"In PvP you'll be mostly dead before you cast the shield".
"This is really not the right way to balance sh***".
"This would completely destroy magsorc in PvP and it won't be fun any more to play in PvE".
"This is a really, really bad change".
"I really don't know who the sh** came off with this change. Definitely somebody who does not play the game, that's for sure".

That should pretty much equalize out all of our OP survivability.

they nerfed the perma block, limitless streak, and infinite dodge a long time ago
