Well... PvE casuals don't have a deep enough knowledge or skill to even notice the change is that bad. They just adapt easier because they are not even that used to their toons rotation anyway. Most just have good looking skills with no synergy between them or the sets they use... Do you think not having an insta shield will make any difference? It won't. I'll tell you more, even for daily casual players it won't matter because they don't play end game veteran pve content, only, as you said so yourself, casual content aka normal.

Nah... This is just another case of usual crybabies being crybabies, only this time is a very popular OP-AF class/play-style, so the crying is a lot louder.

And I do agree that it was a heavy handed take, 1s is too much, .5s would be more than enough to achieve what they want, but this will only ever affect end game hardcore players, as it's true with absolutely every balance ever in every game. Casuals just enjoy the fun. Casuals won't create a full new character or spend a crapton of money to rebuild. They are, obviously, just casuals. The very definition of casual being that you're just enjoying the game, not going full on hardcore. Balancing changes are, for business stand point, never bad. Even more so, they are beneficial as it gives purpose to hardcore people and makes casuals more competitive for when they decide to take on a challenge.

Sorcs are undoubtedly op, or they wouldn't be as popular. Same for NB, who will, pay attention to what I'm saying now, get nerfed for real soon, just like sorcs were.

And screw meta-mimic players. Most lack the creativity to work around nerfs, so they whine because they'll be weak and useless until alkast tells them what to do. That's the root of all the issues here, btw. Whiny mimic meta-only players.

It happened to me!!

PVP:
Listen.. when people said I couldn't main a bow on my stamplar I did it.. without snipe.. then they changed the mechanics of heavy attack and my special secret skill mechanic

became impossible to pull off.. s000... bow build dead.

I was also told I couldn't heal... but... major mending...they removed it.. So I left my stamplar somewhere in the Alik'r desert searching for the missing fragments of Leki's blade..

This game is always going to change, apart from the server performance which will always stay the same..
Its better to just watch other people struggle with it on Twitch than actually play it.
You get the added bonus of your life back too..

Well I sure hope magsorc doesn't get destroyed. I started this game as a magsorc and loved it from the start. It is the one and only character I have in this game. I have invested so much time into this character I do not want to shelf him and I have 0 desire to start another character.

i do not agree with the 1 second delay on shield casting.
infact, if that 1 second delay on shield casting goes live then it will be a trickle down effecT.
eventually leading to alot of very serious problems with elderscrolls online and may even be fatal for sorcerers and and up being fatal for all classes.

Mag sorcs in the form of mages/sorcerers have always been one of the essential, iconic classes of TES, and honestly, as a long-time TES fan, the idea of playing a sorcerer with stamina just seems a little lore-breaking to me. I won't do it. It's quite ridiculous for them to make this class unplayable, and unplayable it will be for those of us who like to go solo.

Ugh. How long till TES6, I wonder...

1. Frags- 1 morph with cc, with current lower dmg (remember frag has been nerfed)
morph without cc with slightly higher dmag

2. Harden Ward-slightly lower effectiveness or reduce scaling past a threshold

3. Streak- Increase range by 2m-5m

4. Reduce cost of lighting storm

To be honest, I don't think Alcast's video is clickbait at all. IDK why you are throwing shade at a streamer for saying what they think on their own social media platform. It just so happens someone linked it here in the forums. You stream and have a twitch as well.

I'm going hunting for magnb myself. Detect pots, keep my wings up, and they only have one shield with a delay. Spam flame reach and cc yourself. I also run blade cloak and keep them out of cloak. With that new set that takes up 5500 health from their next heal and they are just ap cookies.

ive invested too much time into this game in pvp, and to see it'll all evaporate in the most radical patch yet would be a shame. were a dying breed and have been for years other players envious of the superior class, only trying to contribute to its demise in the name of social justice when in fact its oppressing the minority

You are correct, it should only be ZOS task to balance the game. Also, many people seem to misunderstand the Class Rep Program. We simply give them pain points, we do not make any balance changes at all.

Also the same Alcast who took a non-pet mag sorc into VBRP and beat it in the first three hours of test and didn't have food buff active for the last portion of the last boss fight.

I watch him to but beating the newest content on vet seems to me to say the new changes may suck and may be a change but the PVE aspect of the game is not dead to sorcs.

I think its less that the whole class is dead because shields might be nerfed, but its just clunky. And it is. Test it. It feels really weird to have a cast time on a shield. There are quite a few ways to change it so we get insta click shields while introducing a penalty to shield spammers. Lockout on casting <You can only cast it X seconds between each other> or increase cast time/cost the more you spam. Casters HP can drop SO fast its kinda silly that the idea is "Why did you have a shield already active?" is even a question. Its hindsight and quite frankly sorcs <Non pets> already have issues with sustain. You REALLY want us to rotate shields randomly into our rotation "In case we get hit!"

While I agree with you, I still think there will be those who discount Alcast because of various reasons.

I mean, even Fengrush couldn't get the forum to rally behind him.

Tbh it's cause majority of people just don't care about streamers, famous individuals or even the class reps. They laugh at them.

You'll always only get a small fraction to rally.
