wuka91✭✭I called it that if they kept crying about other classes dodge rolling they would hang them selves... if they want to implement this make it a .5 second cast time and also make it so cast time abilities in general don't snare you, like they did with uppercut and jabs.
This does still provide some counter play to a shield stacker (.5 cast time) honestly some players could be unkillable one v one if all they did was heavy attack resto and shield stack.
Also people are freking out, if they remove the self snares from cast time abilities, a .5 interrupt won't be that bad, and if you do get interrupted, you can use the other light armor shield for example and you won't be able to be interrupted with the CC immunity. Also looks like healing ward will still be instacast.
1 second way to long, .5 still allows the weave, and remove the slow down to speed on all cast time abilities is a must.
who the *** cares if they cant be killed resto heavy and shield stacking. Here’s the problem with your point of view. It comes off as if there is a belief that each class should go through cycles of being dominant and from changes eventually useless in many circumstances.
While everyone won’t agree, the issue is the developers are intentionally creating circumstances where ppl would be forced to create new characters and level up/start over.
From a business standpoint you could make some arguments that it makes sense, however the reality is when done in this manner some will actually quit, some will express things publicly that may cause others to steer clear or also leave.
The longevity of this game will likely live and possibly die based on this and other intentional changes.
The solution also isn’t to revert things back. I’ve made threads and participated in a few other the years with ideas here and there but ZOS has their own ideas that seem to follow a F2P and P2W format. I don’t play a magic sorc and that was never my main, however my main is a magic Templar whose felt very similar changes in years past that were never “balanced” in which also have made the class less desired or invaluable as a healer or DPS.
As is...upsetting large portions of class communities seems intentional and without merit. There aren’t changes making these large nerfs, later powerful so to continue nerfs isn’t a step towards balance, it’s pushing very fast now towards further breaking the game and leaving classes pointless which I’ve argued many times...

To be fair, Deltia did quit that day and not come back for 12 months. Pretty badly planned clickbait.
As for who thought of these changes. I think we all know it's the wobbler. Proving that even with good advice, than man is a menace. Honestly, fire him already.
I don't actually think the changes wreck sorcs. I think they wreck all mag toons and will empty trials out again just like wobblers sustain changes did last year. I also think they will, yet again, encourage greater cheat engine use as it's survivability advantages will increase just as it's dps advantages and sustain advantages increased after the morrowind changes.
Just when you think the wobbler is out of bad ideas this *** happens. That advisory counsel really has proved worthless. I'm sure they gave some advice but it's like talking to a *** rock. Why is it we have to constantly completely rework the basics of combat causing more than half the players to quit every year? Man do I wish I had not done a 6 month resub last month. I want to take a year or two off myself.I am currently worried for the future of ESO. Population seems like it is in free fall and the cancellation of the North America in-person gathering feels very much like pulling the plug. Kudos on fixing the in-game economy though. Clearly whatever gold shenanigans were happening the last couple years are fixed.8 -

✭✭✭✭✭He’s absolutely correct about cast times — this is a reactive, fast-paced combat game, and there’s nothing reactive about a cast time on magicka shields.
Imagine if regular blocking had a 1 second cast time. Or if cloak had a 1 second cast time. Or if dodge rolling had a 1 second cast time.
Yeah, the changes affect all mag classes, but they ESPECIALLY affect sorc because hardened ward is our primary “oh s***” defence. There are PLENTY of counters to magicka shields already — from CP, to sets, to weapon enchants. If you can’t deal with a sorc stacking wards, and you’ve equipped yourself appropriately to counter their shields, then YOU are the problem, not the sorc.9 -

There is a reason why ZOS do not focus on vet content or players... no-one in their right mind would ever consider playing this game to a high level with the amount of bugs and server issues you have to deal with let alone the constant changes with every patch..
You are better off just buying pretty things in the crown store than actually trying to play the game.. (ZOS business model)

How do we save this post? I am sure we will not get a new magika class, but when their class get's nerfed wonder if we will see you start complaining.
