I played mag DK Light Armor during PvP event, it was quite fun actually, but now it will be impossible with the nerfs to power lash (and shield) as I relied on that stun a lot in my build.2 -

Just like everyone went mad when they have seen on PTS how broken rune cage was, then it went live and sorcs were everywhere killing almost everyone except of the most tankiest builds? Yeah let it go live. You think now "awesome I'm going to take my revenge on those sorcs now", no you won't, because you won't meet any MagSorcs there, you won't meet any other LA users (maybe except of magblades), all you will see now will be "Blocked/Dodged".
I've been here when things like that happened before, when game performance was so bad that meteor rain was a completely legit thing. When they have changed lightning in Cyrodiil and you know what? This was one of the toughest times for the game, when some of the best players and even whole guilds was leaving the game, if you want this then please be my guest, but better get ready for more threads like "Is this game dying?".

At least sustain nerfs concerned every single class and playstyle while this absurd is aimed strictly into the most squishy characters out there - LA users. So now new BiS for mag characters is heavy armor and only heavy armor

✭✭✭✭✭I did not time it but the shield animation can be canceled so it does not take quite as long.. A minimal time is still required but more skilled players will have an advantage over those that are challenged with animation canceling.
Regardless, it seems to be a stale and lazy change.0 -

All of those changes were bad and the complaints warranted.
1) Shield duration nerf was unwarranted b/c all it did was make sorcs more susceptible to gankers. In a fight shields never have last 6 seconds anways. You got your resis from HA up 100% of the time and you can weave dodge rolls. So there was nothing wrong with shields having that duration and protect against gankers ... well nothing except making the gankers lives harder. But we all know that's the real reason why shields got nerfed ... to give the NBs easy kills.
2) Rune Cage nerf was as bad as predicted. The skill is now basically useless, especially against the builds for which it was needed most: perma-dogers aka. Stamblades. You only see it occasionally b/c people don't want to run Destructive Reach due to its reflectability and the amount of DKs and S&B users running around.
Funny how both nerfs were aimed to help stamBlades ... Shamed be he who thinks evil of it.
DKs, Wardens, Templars, NBs standing in the middle of the field perma-blocking or perma-dodging to face tank even more people that sorcs could ever dream of is apparently not a problem for you. And at least the Wardens and NBs got far better mobiltiy - especially for kiting. And yes ... stamSorcs also have great mobiltiy, but we are talking about magSorcs.Edited by Galarthor on September 18, 2018 12:24PM5 -

No offense Lieb, you know there is none towards you. I daresay this isn’t quite so depressing when in a ZS level group. If I have a pocket Templar right next to me, no worries. But solo? No way this is going to fly. By the way, nobody was standing in the field face tanking anyone in Sotha. LoS and Kite you say? If they had unnerfed Streak to compensate maybe. But this?
I'm just feeding on sorc tears and slowly igniting the fires, it's k. I do have a certain reputation to live up to(I'm a sandWITCH after all).

You remember sloads on pts and ppl crying out? It came out exactly as bad as it sounded. Little hope this story turns out differently.3 -

I just tested it on PTS, and i could spam-cast 39 shields in 46 seconds, which comes slightly over 1.1 second per cast, so its definitely not three or more seconds(i have a video if you want to see it).
I suspect the 0.1 is either because of latency or because a delay the game forces after completing an ability cast.
