I reckon, they could do both.

Put some "uncommon" races like Maormer or Goblins in the crown store like imperials, but maybe at a higher cost... and then do some "rare" races like Akaviri or Imga in the crown crates... and maybe "super-rare" races like Kothringi as apex rewards... I could see that work.

What is with new race things on the forums recently? This game already has hard time balancing the races. And now people want crown races? Why don't they just give me full completion achievement and max level with all skyshard slots? Oh and why don't we just go full on P2W so we can go bankrupt to one up each other?

We already have imperial. I am not asking for anything new, just different combos. Such as an altmer-looking swordsman.

I am one of those Elder Scrolls lore guys, and the only races I would support being added are subspecies of Argonians and Khajiit. Anything else is either extinct (Dwemer, Lilmothiit), transformed (Chimer), or doesn't fit as a playable race into the context of the game (Reachmen, Maormer).

I spend money in the crown store and yet still believe this is an abhorrent idea which should be folded up, locked in a voidstone crate and sunk into the deepest available sea in Tamriel, preferably one with plenmty of large, violent aquatic beasts to prevent anyone from retrieving it.

Please can you add a poll option for that?

I can see some races like Maormer, Imga or Goblins being a part of a chapter or dlc. But Dwemers or Ayleid? No thank you. I love TES lore and dont wanna see it brutally *** in front of me.

The problem is, races arent just cosmetic. I'm personally ok with skins being apex rewards, but if a race that is the best for my build would be an apex reward I'd need to gamble for... I'd just quit the game tbh.

Akaviri is not a race. Akaviri is a continent.
Also, out of 4 races that we read about that live on that continent, who could bretons be related to?
You have snake people, and we have general idea about them seeing Lamias.
You have tigers, we have pretty good idea how they look like, by looking at Khajiit.
You have snow hell demons, Id say they are something like combination of draugrs and demoras.
only race that is left are some shaved monkeys or apes or whatever. Maybe you had them in mind when you spoke of bretons?
