I remember the last IC event had the servers bursting. But for some reason very few seem to be participating I don't PVP so without a big group I'm easy pickings for all the hardcore PVP players. Since the event starting I've only been in 3 groups. Why is the event not as popular as it was last time?

Also, trying to mix pvp and pve doomed that zone from the start, it was never going to work. The place is a trolls paradise
Now if they made a pve only instance, I would pay for that no problem.... hint, hint, crown store
sounds interesting
The current setup is poorly designed and only really rewards ganking
A PvEer farms for four hours, then they get ganked and die. That’s 2 hours of work gone.
The ganker gets the equivalent of two hours of telvar for perhaps 10 seconds of PvP combat.
It’s not rocket science figuring out why no one (PvPers or PvEers) goes there anymore. Half the time you spend there can be gone in a handful of seconds, with the ganker making the exact same amount as you when all’s said and done.
Telvar loss needs to be adjusted. In no world does it make sense for gankers to make equal telvar to the farmer when they put in a few seconds of effort compared to a few hours. Make the loss 25%, and now the final tally is 3/4 to the farmer, 1/4 to the ganker. Still incentive to gank, without the disincentive to farm (which is the big reason no one goes there)

PvE IC would mean they have to disable the TelVar system. So all you can do is doing the quests without ganks. The current setup is poorly designed and only really rewards ganking

They only have to adjust the HOW. Making TelVar lootable from dead player bodies with a small channel time would fix the most loses to ganks.

Then this event is basically allowing PvE players to get the regular amount of tel var they would get as if it was a normal time period and they didn’t lose any for dying.
That being said, it’s fun to wipe 30+ with 4-6 people.
And right there is where PVP ends.
Those 30+ PVEers log out for the night and the server is empty again.
And your 4-6 people have to find pvp elsewhere.
Its just a bad design around tel-var thievery. No event will help IC.
A redesign is required. If you get 2x tel var for each boss you kill

I think people need to realize IC was a PvP DLC. Like how is that not getting through to y’all?
It is not a PVP DLC, it is a PVE DLC with PVP mechanics turned on. The ultimate goal of the area is farming and not PVP-ing.
I participated during the first days of the event but each day ended the same way: I lost all my telvars to some NB bombers. Not gonna come to IC during the event anymore as it's the NBfest and the waste of time for all players killed by these kamikaze. As a result, at the end of the day you get nothing.
Poor server/net code performance, and populations are so spread out it is rarely a PvP environment. When there is PvP there are often tells of a less than friendly nature about how people should be left alone in said PvP environment, because they just want to pve. All they need t do is switch to one of the other campaigns and go back to unfettered farming access.
While pure PvE groups feel hassled by PvP players, even calling them toxic for pvping in one of two zones that allow that interaction.
Seem Zenimax still has some work to do on getting oil and water to mix. Shame too, some of the best fights I have ever had have been in the sewers.
The problem here is that IC is just classic bait that lures PvE players there to be food for PvPers and when PvE players needs to risk with death from bosses or players while they're carrying lot of tel vars because this is what game demands from them PvPers can play low risk high reward since there is no multipler or reduction of tel vars You can loot from players while killing them so either You die and loose nothing or kill PvE player and get half of his tel vars.
I would say PvE players are harrased not by PvPers but by developer who once again failed to deliver balanced options and people will just take adventage of it.
It's not Zenimax...it's the PvE community. Not that you guys are bad, or doing anything maliciously, but you're not approaching this the right way.
If a PvPer joined a raid team and insisted on wearing their heavily armored, super balanced, sustain oriented PvP gear, and then roll-dodged all over the map during a stacked fight, you guys would kick them so fast their little heads would spin. Why do you guys insist on coming into PvP-Land in your light armor, no impen, min/max set-ups? You're setting yourselves up for failure, then complaining that the bar needs to be lowered in your favor.
No.
We have to learn how to gear up properly to run with you guys, so you guys can return the favor. I just recently started to learn how the whole PvE thing works, and I had to humble myself by making a brand new PvE toon, farming for the proper gear, starting at the very beginning and learning the mechanics, and asking the experts for advice, because I am truly a noob in this world. I am a 1-star General noob, and that's okay. If you guys want to play in PvP-Land, come talk to one of us and learn how to do it properly, and stop insisting that we change everything to suit you.
We really want you guys here, but not at the cost of losing our little corner of the Tamriel universe.
