I have been attempting now to play the game since I bought it about three days ago. The game runs flawlessly on high - or rather, it looks flawless. For no reason that I can fathom and completely randomly it stops. The entire game freezes, except for the music for 1 - 5 seconds at a time and then comes back. I have tried to replicate the problem to see whether it is a matter of busy areas causing the lag but there seems to be no pattern. It can stop in the middle of a busy area but can then also stop when there is nothing going on. The only things that are not affected so far are the quest text encounters.

I have updated my graphics card and played around with my graphics settings in the game. I have tried only running the game and nothing else on the computer. I've tried the repair tool. I've tried checking the internet connection - I'm fairly sure this isn't the issue as my partner runs the game just fine and without this problem. I'm at a complete loss as to what is causing the problem.

Is anyone else experiencing this?
