I guess he's using it for magicka based blocking.

Not sure about the Frost Clench though, feels like Elem Drain could be a better fit :p

Anyways, always nice to see non-meta builds ^^

Yep, cheap magicka based blocking is one thing, and I need this to trigger the heal from Crest of Cyrodiil set. If I used stamina based blocking I would be wasting my 2,2k stamina recovery alot.
4 second ranged root is strong in no cp, and it's cheap to cast with master's staff.
Destro ult while expensive also has it's uses, especially against targets that dodge alot.

Not sure how you would manage to get 120 ult for a dawnbreaker in 9 seconds if not emperor or attacking a group of level 10 naked vampires.

I'd say Crest of Cyrodiil is a pretty important part of my build, with a 4-5k on demand heal every 5 seconds if needed. The main reason I went this route was that I was dying extremely fast from non mitigateable damage, and the generally higher damage these last 2 patches. My heavy armor and passive healing wasn't enough anymore.

Hmm this makes me think about flipping the idea and running sword and board magplar to block cast HTD and get an extra 5 k on the heal. Might be too much VG overhealing unless you wait for health to get down.

It is interesting though. But I tend you use up my magicka pool already with cloaks and shadow image

I do run quite high magicka regen. Close to 1k plus what I gain from 5 piece heavy armor. But generally it's for the situations where I'm heavily preasured and can't cloak.

Alliance war passives whenever you kill someone you get 20 ultimate and Dawnbreaker was still 100 at the times i believe its wasn't hard to do.Especially with how hard it use to hit and we didn't have sets like impreg and if goes through block so its not complicated.

I'm guessing you were not here when eots was the main cause of deaths in cyrodiil.
