Here Is Why Poisons/Potions Are Not The Worst Things You Can Get From Crown Crates

Ok, So in this thread I am not criticizing crown crates as a whole.
All I want to say is that at least I can trade all those "trash" potions and poisons for gems.
As opposed to all those lipsticks and ugly-arse costumes and pets and similar things that are never even mouse hovered upon once they are thrown in my "collectibles".
A piece of me dies every time I see a card with that blue/purple/gold glow, only to later find a lipstick or a stupid tiara in it.
TLDR: Just make everything exchangeable with gems, please. So we can get what we ACTUALLY want with our ACTUAL monies

I've been playing a long time and my collectables are full of crap I will never ever use. Makes it hard to find the items that I do want to use.
Heck, I'd settle simply for the ability to delete costumes/tatoos/hats that I'll never touch.

(Yeah, I'm aware that ZOS isn't going to change the Crown Crate methods anytime soon. This, however, is exactly why I don't care for either of your options and thus didn't vote. I don't buy crown crates at all because I far prefer to be able to buy what I want, instead of buying a chance at what I want. Your suggestion doesn't make that substantially better, between the lesser amounts of gems received to the cost of the items and the frustrations of not getting what I just want to buy in the first place.)4 -

The consumables do, which is why it's convenient to trade them for their lower gem value rather than outright destroy them especially if you're a more advanced player opening a larger number of paid crates.
And, really, you never know when a collectible you don't want to use now will suddenly become more relevant and desirable when paired with a future items or content.
But the shortest answer is that you're renting all of this from ZOS so they get to decide the lease terms.signing off0 -

✭✭✭✭✭Agree (Gems Before Lipsticks)The worst thing I've gotten from a crown crate is a giant spider. The only way it could be worse is if a) I couldn't avoid activating it and b) if it was real. I much prefer trash potions to that.
Unfortunately it's now stuck in my collections menu forever so every time I look at pets I have to be careful not to move the mouse over it (yes it's completely irrational, yes it still bothers me). I'd actually pay gems to delete it from my account if I could.
I understand why they won't let us choose what we get from crates or trade in all the unwanted collectables for gems - otherwise it wouldn't be random and people would spend far less trying to get the items they want. But it is annoying, even when I only open the free crates I happen to get.
One possible solution for me would be a system that lets us mark collectables as favourites - so they appear at the top of the list and everything else is lower down, then I could easily find the items I want in amongst all the junk. I don't even use the potions/poisons while levelling alts, they are that bad!
But the good news is that you can exchange all the crap for Crown Gems which can then be spent on some cool and useful items

Worse is stuff you will never use, worst of all probably stuff you can not even use as its say Argonian only and you don't have any.
