People (mostly PvPers) will leave but they will be disapointed. I cannot imagine that those games will be successful. They will need at least 2 years to fix performance and balance issues, offer more contant etc... like every MMO. Also a big point for someone could be the depth of skill and gears system of ESO. PvP on the other hand is hard to balance and harder to keep engaging for years.

What would those be? Besides World of Warcraft, and maybe Star Trek Online/Star Wars Knights of the Republic, I don't know of any other MMO that isn't Asian.
As for 3 years? Hard to say. I thought ESO wouldn't last past 3 years, so I give it to Zenimax that they were able to turn around a horrible product and make it successful. Does it have WoW life? Who knows. There is so much to Elder Scroll fluff that once Tamriel is complete they can go over to Atmora. Would love to see how those races differ from Tamriel.Not my quote but I love this saying

✭There's no way the player base will remain as 'big' as it is today (if you can even call it that), the only thing ESO has going for itself is that it's on consoles too.
Players like me (PVP) will be out of here as soon as something good shows up on the market with promising PVP.
This could be games like Ashes of Creation (which I really think will be awesome), Crowfall and Camelot Unchained (PVP centric-mmos) and possibly others like perhaps Air: Infinite Realm (the guys from PUBG), Project TL (lineage stuff) and a few others that might show up in the meantime. 3 years is a decently long period online so a lot can happen.
All it takes is for one of those to become a massive hit and that will inevitably hit ESO's player base. ESO will remain as a soft TES-like MMO where players will mostly be interested in cosmetics, houses and furnishings, with occasional PVP and PVE.
It's obvious in what direction they're taking the game, they have no intentions of focusing on PVP, it just doesn't make them money.1 -

Depends what platform you're asking about on console i see it dying out faster especially when the new elder scrolls game is released on the next gen consoles this game will more then likely last longer on pc as soon as another game comes out on console that's a mmorpg like eso i expect alot of players to quit playing with the way the game is maintained on console and lack or attention zos gives console players they are going to get fed up eventually and leave for other games sure there will be players still on console but it will more then likely be less then it is now they might even combine eu/na servers together if the population drops to low for consoleEdited by Jake1576 on September 10, 2018 1:50AM0 -

Hopefully the dev team will make the right choices to increase the game population within a 3 year time frame, without forcing the game into (legitimate) P2W territory. This would mark the end of the game for many.4 -

I grew up in the era when teachers in school were expecting annihilation at any moment, and we all had to do the "duck and cover" drills, while being told (by the adults, and the movies we watched) that we weren't going to live over it anyway. ✭It will be fine... current balance and performance issues will be fixed and new ones will arise in an endless cycle but as long as the game stays fun to play for the most part in PvE and PvP people will continue to support it0 -
