I am a co-founder and a leader of an International Guild, The Elder Sages Guild (TESG). We have members playing on both the NA and EU Megaservers.

This morning my Launcher was up-to-date with the current Update and Patch. I was able to login to the NA Megaserver, create a character, help found our "live" In-Game guild, complete Cold Harbour, and start my first PvE area.

The only bug I encountered on the NA Megaserver with the "no zoom" issue on the Character Creation screen.

This evening I changed the Launcher settings to the EU Megaserver. I used the smaller options icon on the Launcher to Check for Updates. No updates were found so I clicked Play.

When I entered my account password an Login authentication error reported Login Credential incorrect. I tried entering the password several times, typing very carefully, and using the same password that works on the NA Megaserver. The "Login Credential Incorrect" error appeared consistently and I was unable to log-in.

I then check the "eso live" version number for the EU Megaserver login, which still showed an "rc" version.

EU Megaserver Version: eso.rc.1.0.0.956199
NA Megaserver Version: eso.live.1.0.0,956792

I will need to play on both the NA and EU Megaservers. How can I download the latest Update and Patch for the EU Megaserver Client without affecting my working NA Megaserver Client? Will that EU Update and Patch fix the Login Credential problem?

SUGGESTED TROUBLESHOOTING PROCEDURES: ERRORS WHEN CHANGING MEGASERVER

I can now access both the NA and EU Megaservers. Patience and persistence defeated Molag Bal's miserable minions! In case this is helpful to others, here is the procedure I used to enable both Megaservers.

Using these steps I can now switch between Megaservers. I logged in to the EU Megaserver, successfully created a character, and commenced to the Wailing Prison in (EU) Tamriel.

TIP: Take notes as you try each step. Should you need to contact ESO Support your notes will be very helpful.

STEP 1: Change the Launcher OPTIONS to the new Megaserver.
    1. At the top right of the Launcher, select OPTIONS, and choose the other Megaserver from your default (EU or NA), then click APPLY.
    2. Still in OPTIONS, select ABOUT
    3. Run the Game Consultant. Review the report to check for possible computer configuration or hardware errors.
    4. Return to Launcher Main Menu.
    5. Select the Game Options icon in the center of Launcher screen.
    6. Game Options is a pull-down menu. First select Check for Updates. If there are any updates, the Launcher start downloading and display a progress bar.
    7. When the download is 100% complete, Click PLAY to test the update
    8. If you can log in the new server, you're done!
    9. If you encounter any errors logging in, continue with STEP 2, below.

    STEP 2: Run Repair
    1. Return to the Launcher Main Menu.
    2. Select the Game Options icon.
    3. Choose Repair. The PLAY button will become grey.
    4. The Repair process will proceed, then verify the files. The verify process may run more than once. Wait until the the entire Repair process is complete before proceeding.
    5. When Repair is complete and the PLAY button highlights, click PLAY.
    6. Test the repair by logging in. If another error appears, re-run the Game Consultant and Repair. If the second Repair does not fix the problem, contact ESO Support and report the issues. Be sure to mention the steps you took to resolve the problem.
    7. If the Launcher does start ESO, if it is the first time you are logging in to the new Megaserver, a prompt will ask for a one time Authentication Code.
    8. The Authentication Code will be sent to the e-mail address for your Elder Scrolls Online Account (when you purchased the game).
    9. Minimize the Launcher, leaving the Authentication Code prompt on the screen.
    10. Open the e-mail and write down the Authentication Code,
    11. Return to the Launcher and enter the one time Authentication Code.
    12. You can then log in and create your character.

NOTE: If you find this Troubleshooting Procedure helpful, please click one or more of the "up-vote" buttons: "Insightful", "Agree", "Awesome".

    You didn't mention in the posts that you will require two separate clients to play on both the NA & Europe Megaservers which I have posted a lot of tickets on until they confirmed and updated the ESO Support kb article confirming this;
IF I BUY THE US GAME, WILL I BE ABLE TO PLAY THE GAME ON THE EUROPEAN MEGASERVER? OR VICE-VERSA?
    Updated 04/03/2014 10:47 PM Published 01/31/2014 05:40 PM

For PC & Mac, The Elder Scrolls Online has one North American and one European megaserver, and players will not be forced onto one based on location; they can choose which Megaserver to use when they install the game client.

However, characters created on one megaserver will stay on that megaserver. They can't be moved from one to the other. Players will have to download the game client a second time and create additional characters if they wish to play on both Megaservers.

The North American and European megaservers are both currently housed in our North American Datacenter, but they operate independently of one another. We will transfer the European Megaserver to our European Datacenter soon.
Personally I have no idea why they need to do this as the actual data is very much the same. However I see they have different day/ time for weekly maintenance so assume that the two installs will have different versions due to this. It's possible (at least on beta) to log on with a version a bit behind but obviously this is not sensible as it could cause issues.

On of the problems with the process currently is that the Repair option is not always presented. It is possible to get it to by cancelling the verfiy or download BUT there is a chance that it can wipe the entire Install folder (wipe not to Trash).

Therefore I strongly recommend users backup the install before updating.

It's possible to duplicate one install and rename it to for the other megaserver (i.e. add EU to the folder name) But it will require a similar Install/ Repair method which is not predictable as mentioned.
