Just got kicked from a dungeon because I went straight for the bosses, instead of killing each and every trashmob along the way... Oo

Everytime I hear the word bully I think of Bullymongs in the specific way that Sir Hammerlock describes them with his wonderful voice.

I understand why you would want to speed run a daily dungeon, b/c in all honesty doing them are tedious to begin with. But your grp mates are also not in the wrong because as the majority of them did vote to kick you because they wanted to run the dungeon normally. The solution to this is maybe asking friends to speed run a dungeon with you, or if in a random grp maybe ask in chat that you would like a speed run and if you get kicked at least you didn't waste so much time(:

3 out of 4 players didn't like the way you played. It really is just that simple. Start off slow and if the group is up for it, up the pace. You take the risk of being kicked if you play differently from the rest of the group.

no. it's very rare for the other players to mind the speed. This is really one of the rarer occasions. I dont have time to take it slow, sorry my dude :)

tbh I dont think that's the reason for the kick. I think they saw me not being near the same spot as them and in their mind they thought I had gone lost. In their mind they probably think that is how you are supposed to do the dungeon, kill each group of mobs one group at a time, as zombie like as possible. Anyone not following that recipe will be kicked from zombie island. I dont mind, I just joined another because im a tank, so the poor sods had to wait around for another tank to help them ;)

I personally wouldn't care if you went fast. I'm not talking about me. I'm talking about having an understanding of group dynamics and knowing that if you go fast, there will be times when the other 3 don't like that. You really sound surprised that you found a group that found that playstyle undesirable. It may be an outlier, but it happens.

It actually isn't. Though I do fully agree with the OP in the other thread. It's sad when poor players feel so belittled by a better player than themselves that they have to resort to such tactics.

So everyone else suffers because of your time management techniques?

there's nothing quite like 3 inexperienced players, including the group leader, wandering around a dungeon whilst the fourth team member has run off to get her daily rewards. Because she isn't the leader, she can't be easily followed.

Speaking on the subject of rushing ahead, I find Delves or Public Dungeons amusing how there are always two types of people: The helpful and the opportunists.

I like those who actually join you and help killing off enemies overhelming you. I'm usually of this type. If I see someone being overhelmed or hurt I go there and heal or help killing the enemies.
But, there are others who "see the opportunity" to rush ahead while all enemies are on you and ignore your predicament completely for a few seconds of advantage. Seriously, everytime I find one of those, I repeat the same pattern, I ignore the person even if he is dying and just push forward seizing the moment to my favor.

It is especially delightful when I see the guy who rushed ahead, dying to mobs. That's the toll for being hasty.

PvE in MMORPGs is nothing but zombie island, only zombies would do things like run a dungeon for the 100th time. ;)

You conveniently look past the fact that speedrunning the dungeon often only takes 5-10 minutes depending, and you get some nice rewards for the daily. I wouldn't call that zombie like. There's also some accomplishment in being able to aggro as many mobs as possible and kill them all together with the boss; or even multiple bosses at the same time. Go ahead and call it zombie like if you want.

Only fools rush in to something they can't handle. But this is normal dungeons, it's so dead easy, dying is only possible if you are low level, dressed in crappy/wrong gear AND dont know what you are doing.

Well obviously I was talking from MY point of view and MY experiences. Maybe im just generally much more lucky than you, hence why I only very rarely meet someone like that.

And how would I know that? Well at the end of the dungeon im often the first to say tyfg and most of the players respond with "u2 mate :)", "yeah, ty, great run" etc. I doubt they would say that if they hated the run....

Actually that happens because of a ridiculous flaw in the game. You see, in the open world it is ok for mobs to quit chasing you after you got enough distance, but inside closed instances such as public dungeons, delves, etc, they should pursue you inside the entire place (it is like that in World of Warcraft).

Since it works differently here, people like to rush, take the skyshard, beat the boss and get off without fighting most mobs.

Note: it works even worse in ESO, because on the open world a few mobs insist in the pursuit for at least a bite then go off when you finally decide to take them down.

everyone? As I mentioned it's a rare occurence for me to get paired with someone like that. So no "everyone else" does not suffer.
Because she isn't the leader, she can't be easily followed.

how can it be? people cant be that handicapped. can they? Anyways there are addons that can solve that problem. tbh it's an oversight from zos not to have this as a standard implementation.

Hang on ... So your a tank went to run a normal dungeon with low end player , then proceed to speed run towards the boss WHILE leaving the the low end players behind and to deal with mobs and to die ? no wonder why they kicked you , you were been selfish, its tanks responsibility to group up mobs so DPS can kill them instead you just ran away.

Im always a DPS and if im ever running normal first thing i ask if they are ok with speed run if they say yes i proceed to kill everything to make it easy for the low end cp player and never leave them behind. Unbelievable....

I do not think they kicked you from the group because you were going fast, but because you went fast without brains, pulling all the mobs and even the bosses in the same moment (and not just 1 time but in all dungeon); now some players manage to survive the mobs charge and others do not because they have few champions points, someone like and some others want relax when play.
If you play without respecting others, doing your speed run as a child is normal that you are kicked, i suggest you to look for friends and maybe you will understand what mean respect the next time, which also applies in games mmo, otherwise you will remain an uneducated, i am sorry for you.

What make you think that? were you there to see how it went? you seem awfully confident in your knowledge on how this particular dungeon went about...?
