You can played ESO and Summerset

If you don't want to do anything involving summerset, you need to just not go to the zone. The rest of the game will still be there.

No. Just don't go to Summerset... it's not that hard. It's installed regardless of whether you own it or not in order for you to be compatible with everybody else.

I really don't know why people ask such silly questions...

Summerset is a zone in ESO. You can just leave that zone and go to the others. You should have at least 3 waysrhines open, one in Daggerfall Glenumbra, one in Vulkhel Guard Auridon, and one in Davon's Watch Stonefalls. If you open your map you can also look for icons of an Anchor in major cities, those will either be boats or carts which can take you to the other zones as well.

There is no way to avoid starting the game in Summerset on a new character if you own it though.

This. Just go to the wayshrine in your alliance's city from that list and talk to the hooded figure that approaches you. This will start the base game quest line.

It's not that silly a question, personally I hated being forced into Morrowind when I rolled a new toon, so skipped to Davons Watch and started original quest line. If you don't know you can do that (would need to look it up here as not obvious in game) you are stuck in the latest chapter which if I'm honnest isn't that compelling nor does it make much sense with the rest of content you are going to play.

They need to add a screen to character selection - do you want to start in original quest line, Morrowind or Summerset. Then Sorted.

Unless op wants ore nodes to stop transformg into dust nodes and rune nodes becoming portals, only reason I can think of to remove Summerset

Half of this is nonsense, since every player can farm both ore types. Without Summerset, you just get locked out from jewelry workbenches.

Probably the reason is because they want to start a new character in the original 'Wailing Prison'. I miss the old way of beginning in Wailing Prison and then sent off to Khenarthi's Roost. Now, you have to begin through the new 'tutorial' and then have to go to the mainland to pick up the 'hooded figure' quest to go through the Wailing Prison. It's not the same... and I think the Summerset tutorial is the lamest I've seen... Morrowind tutorial with Naryu was cool and made sense, Summerset tutorial is just lame IMO.

This. Morrowind, IMO, has the best starter zone. Well made and lots of weapons lying around to help you unlock skill lines. I would prefer the option to pick how I want to start the game - and then get rid of the hooded figure entirely.

    Nope.
But you can sort of bypass it, except... for the tutorial.

    Which is really, really annoying!

Personally I -wish- they would change things... make the Morrowind tutorial for ALL new EP characters, but continue it right towards the wailing prison (getting "rescued" by wormy cultists and sent off to coldharbour after escaping firemoth isle) and then make the Summerset tutorial for ALL new AD characters, but continue it right towards the wailing prison as well, and add a new tutorial for ALL new DC characters, that also ends with them in the wailing prison... (possibly even a seperate one for imperials, no matter which alliance they play for - would be nice to see a tutorial depicting the worm cultists takeover of the remains of the empire from the inside, yes?)
...and from then on, let everyone play all the stories in the order they are -supposed- to be played, starter isles to alliance story to coldharbour, then free choice from cadwells, craglorn or orsinium (if purchased), then the next storyline that goes from whatever parts of it they have accessible - morrowind, cwc, summerset... unless they consciously make a choice to go "offcourse" all on their own.

I mean, really... for those who know the storylines, how would it make -any- kind of sense to play Summerset first and Morrowinds Balmora or CWC second???

And all it needed was a visual clue which stories are supposed to come "next" and which are "offcourse, immersion-iffyness warning"... those who already know the stories can still go willy-nilly, but for those who don't it would be cool to have some clue as to what events follow which so they get to enjoy the tale in the right sequence... right?

I think most of us want to Uninstall Summerset.....the boring quest the blatant (What no Black Bloc costume on the crown store?!!!) progressive Identitarian idiocy and the whole "Hey we're phoning this crap in" megaphone throughout the expansion, only made sure I would never ever preorder an ESO xpack again.

A few conclusions I came to after playing.:

No one but no one wants to be hand held through a progressive passion play while a narrator whispers "see what we are saying here?" "Do you get the moral message?"

If questing only means you are experiencing a lame story, cringeworthy voiceovers, and uninspired ineloquent design with no real payoff and all the decent things you actually want are cash shop then what is the point?

The community is much worse than I thought especially after playing FFXIV stormblood and GW2.

The latest DLC is admittedly better, but honestly I'm still asking Why in the actual hell did I pay for the expansion, when better content comes free with my eso sub (if I still subbed)

Still hanging around tinkering with the DLC, but there are much better MMO's to play with much less toxic people and all of this can be laid at the devs feet.
