Amazon told me out of stock.

Soo i find my email and see that i have to approve an order for it not being sent to me right away. Now i talked to a customer service REP in Amazon, and now they said exactly word for word: "Unfortunately, the item has gone out of stock So we are unable to grantee a date at present. I am extremely sorry for the disappointment. "

thats a game killer for me, considering i pre ordered early february, and even weeks after i ordered, amazon showed it still had some in stock.

WTF gives? i got my 5 days early access, etc. So why am i being told now that im basically screwed out of my collectors edition? Showed me for a month that i had the game coming to me on the 4th.

    Here is the chat i had with amazon REP. It seems as if our orders will just be LATE, not taken away from us.
    Me: It told me my delivery date would be on the 4th for over a month, and the day the 4th comes, now all the sudden it changes. I want to talk to someone now please.
    Alok: Hello, my name is Alok. I will be happy to assist you.
    Me: Thanks Alok how are things today.
    Alok: I am sorry to know that the promised date for your order has changed.
    Unfortunately, the item has gone out of stock So we are unable to grantee a date at present. I am extremely sorry for the disappointment.
    Me: Soooo it could be another 6 months until they re make another order?
    or it could be never, pretty much
    Alok: No it won't be. As this item is much in demand we will be stocking it very soon. I request a you to wait just a few days more. We will send you an email as soon as process the order.
    Me: But if it is out of stock and its a collectors edition LIMITED quantity item, how does that make me feel any better about getting my product?
    Alok: I understated and your doubts are genuine but still I request you to wait for few days. If the case was that we won't be stocking it, soon we would have notified you accordingly.
    Me: So its not that you arent getting my order in stock, its that it didnt arrive as it should have for the delivery date of today.
    and that i will receive my order at a later date ?
    Alok: Correct. It generally happens when we expect to receive a product from a supplier on a fixed date but supplier fails to deliver it to us in time. This doesn't mean that we won't be fulfilling these our orders.

    I don't mind multiple threads. In fact, a full page of threads would be fine by me to force ZOS to respond with a solution.

    I've ordered numerous collectors editions off of amazon and have yet to have an issue like this. Clearly Zenimax and Amazon aren't communicating.

    Amazon has acknowledged this issue, and the company has said that if customers do not receive their Imperial Edition today, Amazon will contact them with a “make good” offer.

    Players who were eligible for Early Access can still play without a game activation code from a physical box until Sunday morning at 8 a.m. EDT.

    We are continuing to investigate. In the meantime, let's move this conversation over here.
