Is there ever going to be balance?
What about the hundreds of skillbugs, foodbugs, gearbugs?
let me name a few :
- leap is still bugged after so much time when you leap a moving target it just dousnt do anything.
- nightblade shade is still bugged ( or again )
- NPC range is bugged out of the charts
- walls in keeps do not work for NPC they just attack you trough them
- siege still bugs out after 5 years of eso....
- equipment procs still proc of siege
- THERE IS A NOCLIP HACK FOR ESO ( yep there actually is like the old oblivion ones )
- a 60k ww light attack build? really....
- shacklebreaker set is bugged
- when you eat food if you have a poison equipped it bugs out
- not to mention the latest preformance issues.... lag in cyrodill has never been more worse

etc etc etc etc etc

let me ask you kindly for once, and not rage like usual because i know for a fact that no one will do this:

i will pay anyone at zos 100 dollars cash, if there is 1 person in ZOS dev team, that will buy a broken car for the same price as a new car.

Because that is what you sell, a broken game, not functioning the way it should, pumping out new DLC and creating more bugs every DLC because lets face it kids.
you have absolutly no clue what you're doing.

each time we tell you that item sets are broken, or skills are broken, and you take what?! 4-10 months to TRY and fix something? and then not once oh no, you have to fix 1 simple thing 5 or 6 times to get it right for 2 weeks and then break it again.

You can say what you want, that it is not dieng and best MMO or whatever, but please, do you really believe some newbie company that has never done ANY work on ANY mmo before ESO?
Or do you believe your community ( the real one ) not the one that is fresh out of the bottle, because that communities skillgap is SO big that they have no clue if there even is a bug 9 out of 10 times.
And by the real one, i mean the players that have been here since the start, people that have seen the *** turn bad since update 1.5.

Leap is a small AoE where the target is located while cast. It has a travel time, obviously. Leap does not track the target like a projectile.

Imagine throwing caltrops, and the target moves out of caltrops before they spread and hit the ground. Same thing, leap is NOT bugged.

it is bugged, since you can just roll dodge it, streak it or outrun it.
and it actually does follow the target since you land on top of the person you leaped but there is just nothing happening, no damage no stun no nothing, not even resources back

same with dawnbreaker, it still missed quite alot when it isnt intended, you can dodge roll or outrun it

Balance? I'd settle for fixing persistent performance issues with PVP and not getting new bugs introduced every major update.

Leap is 100% not bugged. You're simply overestimating how large the AoE of it is.

Streak will always work on leap because youre leaping where they USED to be. It can be outrun with sprint if leap is cast near 20 meter or longer range.

Leap can NOT be roll dodged if your roll dodge does not place you outside the small AoE of leap.

Go test it yourself instead of making false claims.

This been told for many times and I'll repeat again.
You, us, everyone except ZOS here is a customer. Our job is to pay enough so ZOS will live. It's a pure business and game industry is a huge one.

If you want to change something, crying on forums will never do it. Even if everyone fill forums with problems and wish lists. Do not talk, but do something real. Vote with your cash. It's simple. When you don't buy anything, ZOS doesn't get money. Their managers will ask questions: what is going on?

I bought 10k crowns (on 50% sale ofc) about.... Hm... 2 years ago? Yes, something like that. 30% now, yeah?
Now I have about 5k. I don't buy anything because every new season is pure... You know what. Like September one.
I don't have ESO+ because ZOS from my opinion do their job extremely bad despite of a good start years ago.
I used a chance of a free ESO+ week to put all trash in crafting bag and fill all slots in my house (which are doubled with ESO+). But paying every month for what? For a boring and broken game? Or just for virtual tattoos (we can't even hide shoulders and chest, this was asked for many times), hats, costumes and recolored mount? How many new mount do we have? I see a pack of same 3D models with different colors. Pay real cash for a new color texture everyone can do in Photoshop himself?

Want to change something - change yourself. From a gamer who spend a huge amount of money for nothing to a person who pay for a job. Job is done well - crowns and ESO+ are bought. Complaining on forums won't work.

Well, this is why my husband & I unsubbed and started playing WoW instead. I know at least 7 other guildies that were in pvp/ pve raid teams that play that game now too instead of raiding on eso. I've been lurking around forums for a while waiting for fixes for these bugs and changes to pvp. Literally more than 6 months now of paying for eso+ and we've been having to "end task" the game when it's an infinite load screen, or some other dumb thing like sprint bug won't let me cast anything. Game randomly crashing or kicking to log in screen. Lag and 0 fps in trials, getting infinite CC'ed in pvp and getting feared INTO a wall or places I shouldn't be getting stuck in. There's been more borked things since summerset and you hear people complaining about the same things over and over again. I'm sure 2 people unsubbing or even most of my pvp guild unsubbing isn't much to ZOS, but yea now I won't get the crown packs regularly anymore either. Since this game is buy to play, we will just log in when we want without subbing.

No.

No MMO with a class based system has true balance. It's more of an ebb and flow with nerfs and buffs.
The only way to achieve true balance is to have all players with the same skills and same gear. Aside from that, balance is a myth.

I agree that performance is an issue, though. If I could just get bar swap to work, and my abilities to fire off when I push the button, that would go along way to my personal happiness with this game. I still love it, but I agree that it could be so much better.

No. this game will never be balanced. It can't be as long as it has new DLC with new sets etc.

Get over it.

If you want perfect balance go play something else. But not chess, white still wins 55% of the time.

some will get fixed, some will persist for a really long time because they are too much effort to fix and are no where near as "game breaking" as you make out.
this is the reality of all software development.
new DLC and attempts to change skills will always introduce new bugs in some form or another.

A few dozen performance issues out of a very very high number of things that could potentially go wrong is a good track record.

People tend to spin the things that personally inconvenience them into a crisis because they think that posturing and overemphasizing their sense of self-importance will somehow lead to a more expedited solution to that thing that personally inconvenienced them.

But we have a team of salaried developers working within a game budget. A few dozen issues is frustrating but also not a big deal when what, 98% of the game works with no issue?

If we lose a few impatient hotheads along the way, so what? Let them wander off. Let somebody else deal with them. Because in my experience, people who focus on the negative will just float from one issue to the next without ever being content with the progress that's been made.

Lol I was just thinking about this today after 3+ years playing. Does the negatives outweigh the positives. 80% of sets are worthless and 15% are right balanced enough to play, and 5% are still broken.

So we play with 15% of the sets in eso ... will we ever see 30% or 50% .. ?

I gave up on ESO. A tthis point I´m sure the combatmechanics and worldcontent are too broken to ever be fixed.

Saw this in PVP the other day. The guy was also running an amazing perma-block cheat engine build. He just walked upstairs and took on the whole 20 or so defenders while his alliance sieged. He killed 5 or 6 in the process. Most players eventually just gave up on trying to kill him. It worked though. His alliance took the keep when they would not have if he had not been there disrupting the counter siege. I guess that is what it takes in the new timestop / scatershot meta days to cap a keep.

I really can't believe that 3 years after the meteors fell from the sky we are still dealing with massive use of cheats. This is really not that hard to deal with. It is getting a little hard to actually find top end PVP players not using cheats and, at this point, I don't even blame them. Going without is pretty much tantamount to irrelevance.

MMORPGs cannot be Balanced for PvP, it simply isn't possible.

ESO could probably be more balanced than today though, unfortunately incremental changes would be needed which ZOS don't do. ZOS rather just make major sweeping quarterly changes and then let Akatosh sort the rest.
