How do I change from English (US) to English (Int'l) permanently?

LupX

I've been looking through all the settings available and fail to find any option to have the website and forum on english (int'l) on permanently.
Everytime I manually try to switch to English (Int'l) it reverts back to (US) soon as I browse around on the website.
Any thoughts?

I'm on win10, using firefox.

Normally the settings persist through the use of cookies. If it doesn't work correctly, try deleting them for elderscrollsonline.com (In Firefox, right click somewhere on the page, then select page information, security tab, cookies there).
Also on the very first time visiting webpages, normally the setting in the browser causes the initial setting of the used language if the page supports multiple languages. This is found in the settings under (not surprisingly) languages in your browser. You can set several in your browser and they are used in order from top to bottom until something matches. There's generic "en" but also country-specific options "en-us", "en-gb" etc.

    in the user settings file

    SET Language.2 "en"

likely another encoding option for British English or whatever pigeon you want of American. If you have a friend on EU servers who has it set up for the encoding you want, ask him what their SET string reads.

    I have the same problem.

Maybe a Mod (if they are reading this thread), can ask the people who run this forum, to give you/me and whoever else suffers from this problem, the option in the settings to keep it English (Int'l)

The difference between International English and USA English is insignificant compared to the poor spelling and grammar experienced when reading these forums. :)

I’d like to settle permantly on French Canadian English setting. You know, mostly English with the occasional accent aigu. Knowwhatimzayin?

Actually no, scratch that. I’d like J-Roc English setting knowwhatimzayin? That’d be dope. +1 Rep if you are in the know and knowwhatimzayin.

Start your own MMO company for the queens english. I’ll send 10 gold (PC-NA) to anyone that can show me an example of a game that has localized to both US and “international” English. Just one example. There has to be localization for at least the two spellings of the word “color”. Lol. Tag me so I’ll see the response.

Do you mean in your keyboard settings? I just deleted all options other then English International, so it can't change even if it wants to.

The advantage is that you can type accents without changing your keyboard layout. C'est très pratique!

I changed it and it reverts all the time, at this point I gave up.

I don't know if it has something to do with cookie settings or anything, the same way we have to age ID every. single. time.

No, I'm UK and the reason I said it doesn't bother me was clearly stated as being because there's no significant difference between them when I switch so the fact that it reverts again isn't an issue. Why does it bother you? Why do you think there's a need for two different formats for what is essentially the same language with slightly different dialects?

You play our degerate American game, you deal with our degenerate English.

But really, it would be cool to see them implement the other English languages. Probably just money and time they don't want to spend on.

I'm not getting the OP and this thread... IS there an option for International English in the game? OR was the OP talking about something else entirely?

And does the International English option change "your" back to "you're" in the appropriate cases?

It's about the forum and website settings. As a European I prefer myself the non-American versions too, but this site reverts itself every single damn time.

FYI the difference in the US/INTL is not language based but time zone.

I checked with Jessica in the past and she said it should change articles to GMT/BST if you're using international English, whilst the US English will display US times in articles.
