How do people get the tossing knives animation?

I see people doing it in YouTube videos of them standing still and tossing a knife with flip animations. I thought a nightblade had to be so when I made one up it doesn't do it. Is this an animation we have to earn or buy? If so what is it? If not how do you do it?
