Personally I tell them not do play it, I tell them “it feels like it’s gonna break down for good any day now”. I’ve been here for years so I can accept it if that happens, but if I just joined now I would be really worried

I love the game, I really do.

I can't recommend it to my friends. There are so many issues going on with the game that they wouldn't have the patience to deal with or understand.

    That's okay though - that's why I make new friends from in-game!

Yes, of course. ESO is simply amazing.
There are some minor issues. There are no gamebreaking issues.

Well... I don't know anyone who plays games other than daughter. And when she asked if she'd like ESO (after having played FF, WoW, and RIFT), I told her no. It was more about the fact that she's never had any use for TES than anything else.... But the "issues" would drive her nuts.

Since my own experience is bounded by the limitations of satellite, I don't have the sort of expectations she does.

Hm, this premise. I don’t have any game breaking issues. My buildings have stopped disappearing and I enjoy the game more often than not.

may i ask what are these game breaking bugs? and how are they game breaking?

also all MMO have lag, disconnection issues, it isn't only the same servers but your isp. in before "but other stuff" not all games/other stuff do the same routing. It depends where the server is.

What's game breaking? The fact you can only bank 200 transmute stones? Achievements aren't across all characters?

Yes, I would recommend it, there are issues here and there, but nothing game breaking for me.

Of course I would. This is an amazing game. Better then any game I have played in a long long time sure it has it faults but so does every other game. I wouldn't say anything is game breaking. We all seem to play daily lol

I would definitely recommend this game to friends. There are some issues, but for a more casual crowd, they may never encounter anything game breaking. I would also tell all my friends to avoid the steam version at all costs if they like to be able to log in at all times when the game is up.

I frequently recommend ESO to friends and people in some of my groups. It is far and away the best MMORPG available. I do however tell them to never set foot in this cesspool of a forum. The others like Player guides, players helping players, etc are sane and can be of use to noobs and vets alike.

I've never experienced any game breaking issues, nor have any of my friends. Sure there are some things I'd like to change and I get the occasional lag spike and DC (though that probably has more to do with Australias potato internet).
I recommend eso to everyone and so far there have been no complaints. Maybe we are the 10+ that have magical copies of the game?

It's funny when you ask people what the 'game breaking bugs' are that they always complain about, they cannot seem to name any. [removed baiting comment] especially when people start a thread and then never reply back to any posts.

It's only been just a touch over 3 hours. C'mon, man....Person probably made the post, went and had dinner, watched a little TV then logged back into game to deal with all those game breaking bugs and gain some levels in spite of them. You gotta give them at least 4 hours. :)

I have been playing about a month. Finished Summerset, just been goofing off otherwise and have yet to have my gameplay shut down on me. I've experienced about 2, maybe 3 hiccups, but nothing that a little patience didn't correct. And before someone grouses at my short play time, just want to point out that I've been gone for a bout 1 1/4 years, a few months after Morrowind came out and had played a year or so before that.

Of course I would. I haven't experienced a single game breaking bug and none of my friends would play this game for its pvp as I'm sure that's the point of this poll. Way better pvp games out there.

It has nothing to do with game breaking issues its how much this games asks of a customer to get everything.. Buy the game, buy the chapters, buy the ESO+ buy buy buy.. I cannot in good faith expect my friends to deal with that..

Also the maintenances in Australias prime time weekly would be a killer imo to my friends.

    I would heartily recommend.....

I've been here since Jan 2014 and tbh I have never, ever experienced a "game breaking" bug!

There are issues to be sure and PVP can be a nightmare, however maybe I'm more tolerant than most...…

If PVP is lagging I go do something else OR switch to one of my babies and play in Kyne……… never, ever have any issues there o:)

Yes. I would and have. While there are some bugs It certainly does not seem like the game is about to break. With the exception of Cyrodiil at it's worst they are not game breaking either.

For PVE and roleplaying yes but not for PVP. Also its not one issue that is gamebreaking. Its a combination of issues and the amount of time it takes for Zenimax to fix them (by which time new ones appear)
If you want me to reply to your comment type @Ankael07 in it.

and when you are finished with witcher 3? you do realize that some of us don't just play a single game in a lifetime and call it a day, right? right? not to mention witcher is a VERY different kind of rpg. for one, it has a set character vs character you can design and chose a gender for. and yes, I'm aware that there are single player games that let you do that as well, I have played and enjoyed a good number of them. the point still stands.

last but not least.. Witcher, for all the fanboyism surrounding it (dear god, why does it have such an obnoxious fans? some of the witcher fans make bioware fans look sane in comparison) is also not a game for everyone, and not just becasue it has a set protagonist.

    dirty worthless casual.

    i played witcher 3.

it is meh at best, the game is pretty I enjoy the slavic lore but a lot of quests just stop short. they had too many small quests, but not enough engaging stories that mattered.

bloody baron: i saved his wife, and he took her to a healer. His Sargent took over and acts more like a mob boss shaking people down for gold. You just have to shrug it off and can't kill him to help the people.

Redovid: killed him, he was alive again right after the credits role and you work on the dlc. no changes happen.

love interests: game end up making you cheat on your chosen lady with some red head in the first dlc. (i hated this) in fact you barely see much of yen or triss

dlc: neither dlc felt connected to the game, nor did either feel like it added much. Blood and wine reminded me too much of interview of the vampire. and the first dlc really made 0 sense outside you make a deal with the devil i also found it odd you had Victorian cloths in the 13th century. felt i was in a edgar allen poe story (not in a good way)

the game coulda been better if they didn't over whelm you with quests and had the bigger plots actually lead you some place, not stop om odd places.

imo ESO, and TES do lore better. More so morrowind, as that game had a lot of lore and rp elements.

Friends are usually other beings that amuse you, make you laugh and help you when needed. But what make them true friends is that you feel the same and rush to help them when they need it the most.

No, cause pvp is a mess. If you want ez pz overland content then the game is fine for you.

If you want smooth competetive pvp cyrodiil/battlegrounds/duels then 100% no. Lag and Balance is still at a horrible state and especially the lag in prime time will never be fixed.
