Yeah. Some providers provide fast internet speeds but not for gaming. I’d have a chat with them.

Your provider probably states "UP TO 50 Mbps." That means there will be times where you won't get that speed due to congestion on their network OR because they borrow another ISP's network and your data on that network is the lowest priority (you aren't paying that other ISP, so all they have to do is give you access at whatever speed was determined by the "peering" agreement between the two companies). What you can do is complain to your ISP...If they care enough they might get you "up to speed."

However, depending on other factors it could always be a local issue. I know some drunk idiots slam into my ISP's local infrastructure all the time and cause outages and slowdowns. You would think the ISP would move it away from the street, but apparently its better there when they need to access the line that goes through the sewers...

Try a gaming router. CAT7A Ethernet cable, or at least have a wired connection. Wi-Fi isn't as reliable of a connection than wired. My ping was 50 to 70 on a normal router. It's 20 on a gaming router, it's actually been a lot better gameplay since these changes. Side note if you're not getting the internet you've paid for from your ISP then contact the FCC about it. I did that twice on the second time the president of the company's region for where I live personally took care of it. Is this company frontier? If so yeah contact fcc.

This sounds like internal hardware problem,
it may be your CPU being too old and causing some bugs,

on the other side it also may be driver related/services related.

re install your Microsoft visual c++ redistributable package, (preferable to install the latest ones)

You should contact the FCC only after you've conclusively proven that it is your ISP and that they have not made any good faith effort to correct the problem. Otherwise you're no better than the woman who called 911 because the local McDonald's ran out of chicken mcnuggets.

There's a reason most good computer troubleshooting starts with ruling out PEBCAK errors.

Your diligence in monitoring the chicken nugget supply is appreciated.

@gamerguy757 You never really said whether you were wired or wireless, cable or DSL. I am going to guess DSL, but can't guess on the wired or wireless to your computer.

    1. Are you playing Wired or Wireless? Hint, play Wired
    2. Have you opened the ports on your router? (use Port Triggering https://help.elderscrollsonline.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/1133/)
    3. Are you the only one on your router? Streaming can mess with your game
    4. To that end, are you running an app that streams your game to the cloud?
    5. Have you done a speed test just prior to launching the game, during the game, and then after shutting it down?
    6. Is this during prime time (3PM to 11PM)
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

    i'm on Xbox ONE.
I cannot even get into the game. I don't have the option to hardwire.
I've never had this many issues with the game. Only after Summerset

This. For starters the IP should run you through some tech support steps that some are suggesting above, but much more thorough but the issue could be much different that what is being suggested above.
