    Yeah....nah.
Unfortunately this game is not getting better, it's getting bigger, which is not always a good thing.
Whoever played this game since the very beginning, knows what eso used to be (I'm talking about the technical side).

Speak for yourself. This game is miles ahead of where it was years ago. It's gotten better in every area except Cyrodiil PVP. And even with Cyrodiil people are looking at it with rose colored glasses by saying it used to run smoothly, because I definitely remember it always running like trash.

It's also, imo, miles better than the other games out there (ff xiv excluded, but i dont have the money to sub for that). Sure lots of people like to complain about the game and the company, but I'm excited to see the future they envision.

I find the game fun - we have housing, the Summerset Chapter is beautiful with a fun storyline, the new dungeons are visually stunning and we can customize our outfits. Sure there are areas that need work, but the developers are aware of the problem areas and are working to address them.

I recognize ZOS's developers for their continued efforts to improve the game.

Nothing is perfect (except for my cat Toulouse. He is perfect!)

A million new players alone this year - now this is confirmation of what the game feels like to me, when I am playing, it really has taken off and is very popular - despite those saying it would by dying :D

Murkmire has been in progress since just after the game released in 2014... It was supposed to be an adventure zone like Craglorn.

Yes , truthfully I liked game best at 1.5. Its been a decline into a rehash of solo leveling content with no levels for far to long. The game is at a stalemate as far as emerging mechanics and game systems. It needs a new direction

It's very nice to see Matt's realized the games strength, which is storytelling. And if their going to sell storytelling expansions I'll keep playing as long as the game -runs-. That's a point where they cant lose on.

Murkmire cannot be a copy of Shadowfen, or it will share similar fate as the Summerset - nothing too fancy tbh, I have enough of Auridon and high elves for long. Without spears however I will be very disappointed, for sure this is the best time to add this weapon to the game.

Stories in Summerset was good. Better than a popular single player game that I was playing through at the same time.

I like the small zones because they fill them out completely allowing them to feel very full and lively compared to the base game and chapters. Abad's Landing is the most city feeling city in the game and Clockwork city is incredible content.

I think they had a lot more development time for Wrothgar than more recent DLCs... and yeah its the proto chapter.

Still I was hoping for something larger, there might also be lots of additional non overland space like there is in clockwork city.

1 million new players? Where they at than? I always see the same people, no new ones. Even logging out in cyrodill takes me back into cyrrodill when logging in. Or are all the new guys on NA server or console?

Blending the disciplines of the stealthy agent and subtle wizard, I move unseen and undetected, foil locks and traps, and teleport to safety when threatened, or strike like a viper from ambush. The College of Illusion hides me and fuddles or pacifies my opponents. The College of Mysticism detects my object, reflects and dispels enemy spells, and makes good my escape. The key to a nightblade's success is avoidance, by spell or by stealth; with these skills, all things are possible."

I thought the Morrowind story felt more "personal", due to the nature of the problem. Summerset had two stories, the main story and the Psijic story. Both were good, but I thought that Psijic was the better of the two, actually. How do they compare? Vivec was more engaging, since it was more personal. Psijic was better than Sun-in-Shadows and Redoran Daughter, but if Sun-in-Shadows had been an interactive story, it would have ruled over Psijic.

I prefer stories about people, not things, so that is why I prefer Vivec and Psijic over the Summerset main quest.

I'm not going to let the Chapter thing mess me up, so I decided not to care.

Hmm, that doesn't make sense though because Sun-in-Shadows and Redoran Daughter are (emphasized, yes) WAY more personal than Psijic guild story. I mean what is there to compare -
*sealing a hundred of time rifts and listening to just as many comments by a talking skull or
*fighting your way up the Telvanni hierarchy as a former slave and underdog &
*going through a very dramatic family tragedy where you lose your brother and kill your father? :P

Regarding the MW contra SS main storylines, well...

If you look at what characters are involved in Summerset storyline, and what happens with them, you will find at least two very interesting personal plots (The fate of Veya and reconciling of the Psijic couple Valsirenn and Leythen). The overall plot of Summerset might be saving the world, but if you look back, you were involved in much more than just that. Feel free to read the page on Earl Leythen at UESP, documented by yours truly ;)http://en.uesp.net/wiki/Online:Earl_Leythen

I respect your opinion of course, just wanted to share some of my thoughts :) Hehe

Most of the game is not in your particular PvP campaign. Of course you won't see more than the usual number of people in your population-locked campaign. The PvE world is larger than PvP.

Uh huh, so to the question I actually came here to ask -

When can we expect Murkmire be on PTS? o:) Seems it's gonna be quite soon?!

If the dlc comes out in October/November, and wolfhunter drops for console soon, then I'm thinking sometime in early-mid September?

I looked back at the old forum posts. Clockwork hit the PTS on 18th September last year. If Murkmire is released at the same time this year then it's only three weeks from next Monday till it will be on the PTS :o That's so soon!

As I won't be renewing my subscription. This is a moot point.

For the record, I find the word 'murkmire' somewhat offensive. It has an 'excretory' nature about it.

Always good to hear about more broken gameplay and bugs coming to the game.

Looks like it will lag well.
