Yesterday was the first day I was surprised, I saw people tanking and impossible to kill but not like this, This guy was a templar and 3 of us were hitting him while his hp bar was absolutely not moving.

Not only that he was holding his shield up absorbing the incoming damage and then swapping weapons and jumping in someone of us using javalines to kill us in matters of seconds.

I don't know if he was magicka or stamina but I want to learn this stupid build, anyone knows about inmortal and killer machine templars builds in pvp?

its easy to beat a tank aoe his pools down then nuke him. their useless in pvp if you actually know how to play

Check out breakingbats on YouTube. Is this the type of build you're talking about? He will show you his build and it in action. I think the answers you seek will be here.

You def. encountered a Magplar in CP PvP by the sound of it, the point of their build is to survive; nothing more nothing less. If you had said they ended up killing all of you, I'd cry cheese, but sounds like the only crime here is CP heal scaling.

Every build should have a weakness.

Semi true. Not hurting anyone without them throwing their stupid at you is what I would call a weakness though.

The mega tank builds are sort of useless unless A.) Someone bashes on them enough without tactics to seppuku (i.e. fighting the old blazeplar builds) or B.) They are the support tank builds in small groups. I.e. eclipse, backlash, Jbeam and soul assault for all the perks of damaging the enemy, without having to spec much into it.

Or play BGs and be MVP in all matchup's except DM.

    I basically exclusively play BGs.
Speed is key, tanks lack that.
Because of how flags work its easy to ignore them, they are good with chaosball, but generally not built for stacking oblivion damage.

It's noCP, so easy as pie to melt with 2+ people.

Broken Builds .. sure, not just your lacking experience and knowledge of Game Mechanics. Just blame it on the Build aka "The Way of the Zergling" :)

Those kind of topics are coming up almost every week. Yet, players can’t accept that their perception of immortal is tied to their skill as players themselves. There simply are no immortal tank builds. None.

If we are speaking of 1v1, well actually there are. There's only one build that can deal with templar healbot, and that's bleed build. Even with that, it takes quite long time to kill.

I can bet 100k on a 5 minutes 1v1 fight with my templar healbot against any build except bleed one. You won't kill me. With that i was able to tank a green relic in the green base while having all the purple and yellow (8 players) on me for more than 6 minutes. I had a NB near me with bleed build and he wiped everyone while i healtanked all. And that's only a noncp BG.

I made a thread about 2 years ago, saying tanky builds are going insane. People accused me for wanting everyone to be a glass cannon. Well guess what, these healbots make a 24m survival zergball and literally ruin everything in pvp. They cause almost all of the unbearable lag. I'm not saying server performance is amazing, but i can still cast skills and play around 200 pugs. Yet just one 24m zergball is enough to make it unplayable.

Believe or not, tanking in pvp (especially with warden, dk and templar) is pure cancer and it keeps throwing people away from pvp. Nobody dares to go Cyro again after fighting a meat grinder for 90 minutes until at some point they get bored and wipe or simply leave, dropping a few hundred APs behind.

Exactly speed is key. Thats why ppl run a tank build with Forward momentum and speed/immovable pots. No way to burn him down by the time he takes that Relic to his base. Chaosball as you said, in domination as long as you tank 2 ppl you are doing great. Honestly i find good tanky players most helpfull to play with and most annoying to play against in BGs.

Or you assign that tank to guard your own teams relic. The tank will just bash whoever tries to take the relic while you and the rest in your team are unable to kill him. nice game.....

Remember well a tank surrounded by at least 20 players, me being one of them. We could not kill the player. Remarkable to witness.
Ran into a tank last weekend, while on my magsorc. The tank started attacking. Because I was using defensive run & a shield, little damage was done to me, for once lol. Couldn't make an impact on the tank, so the player just ran away. Was kind of comical.
