Can we get an Auto-Decline Trade option?

I can't tell you how sickening it is to log in and do my writs and the whole time in craglorn I'm being harassed by noobs, who are most likely people who bots (judging by their fsewgfwg names) for gold.

I know I can walk away, or decline - but much like duels, I don't want to always have to be doing this, it's tedious. Can we please get this as a toggle, since duels exist as a toggle I imagine it shouldn't be too hard?

I wouldn't complain about this if it wasn't a daily occurrence, but it is, and it's frustrating. Too many people looking for handouts in craglorn because that's where most high level players tend to congergate.

Been playing for three years now I think. This hasn't happened once to me. Not even when Craglorn was the default writ turn in location. This is on EU-PC.

Never happened to me either. (US-PC)

But they should add it. Even ancient MMOs have the option.

I'm on Ps4 NA. I must not look rich because I've yet to be harassed in Craglorn.

I've been here since beta/early access, and this hasn't happened to me once. I even have nice shiny armor and use my tiger, and leopard and black sabercat/other not-horse mounts and everything on the characters I take to Craglorn.

I’ve actually had this occur multiple times in rawl'kha on PS4...though generally seem to be lowbies looking for hand outs...once in awhile I believe it’s someone that has something to sell but doesn’t speak English enough to make that clear.

Well, I have had some really aggressive mat farmers with disposable names give me trade invites out in the wilderness while I was farming.

They offer the weirdest stuff sometimes, it's like they dump their pockets on you.

It has not been incessant or bothersome other than having to work harder to outsmart them on my farming route.

The best way to get rid of duplicate provisioning recipes, housing patterns etc is to trade them to random people for free lol.

This is happening near a crafting station? More than likely you are in between them and the crafting station and your getting activated instead by mistake. It happens sometimes. Just ignore it, they are not looking for your gold. In more than 4 years I have never been directly pinged for gold. I have seen a zone chat asking for some from time to time.

Or, just stand at the side of the station or back of it if you can

Nope, been asked to join guilds, be my friend, duel (before I discovered the auto-decline), marry (nope, still holding that Mara ring), fish, kill in dungeons and wear cross-dressing costumes, but not this. And yeah, I did, I so rocked that suit. The fat orc in the dress was fabulous. And then she vanished in the night. (sigh)

Yup, I requested this a while ago, too, after I had a day of farming in Craglorn where three obvious bots kept inviting me to trade and following me around whispering in broken English basically begging for gold and potent nirn. Obvious bots and/or gold farmers given the name styles and low levels.

Thankfully, I was only harassed hard that one day so far. But it was bizarro and really turned me off to going back to Craglorn for a while.

That's impossible on console, you have to target the player, pretty damn directly, and then manually hold down the Options button - and then keep holding it - to bring up the interact wheel for players, whereas the X button is for interacting with stations - so sadly, no that isn't the case. It's 100% impossible on PS4 to "accidentally" send a player a trade unless you first trying to interact with them specifically, in some other way.

But I know 100% they are there scumming gold because sometimes they even send you message begging for it, I've had it many a times where they work up the gall to message.

Their favourite spot seems to be the Alchemy building in Craglorn because there's 3 station there and they KNOW vet players will be doing their writs there, perfect place to try and beg.

I can't speak for the people who haven't had it happen. But it's very, very frequent for me. It's not daily, but I would say half the days out of the week I experience it. I run writs on 7 characters every single day too - so my time in Cralorn is quite prolonged, increasing my chances of harassment.

For those who say they've never had it or never seen it - there's one right now in Craglorn harassing everybody with trade invites. Got me 2 times so I decided to screenscap with the names cut out to show the level. I wish I could uncensor the name because it's just letter mashing and obviously not a very "real" character. All the time they're there begging and I don't know how any of you could have not seen it before.

Also I was in a dungeon with someone random from group finder that kept trying to trade with me and I was auto-declining their trades. I realized afterwards that I had this person blocked from sometime beforehand. Just an observation

PC/EU, Random in a Vvardenfell Delve recently repeatedly open trade window and begging for gold - seems that they thinks ending up on everyone's ignore list is more profitable that playing

Just accept the trade, but 10k inside, but without locking of course. Then go afk, have a coffee, a nice walk, or something like this.
When PUGing dungeons, I always try to give some bufffood to teammates which apparently don't use any. 90% of the trade attempts get declined, even if announced in chat before.

Agree with this. Two days ago was handing in a load of master writs and has a person actually using the kneel emote to beg me for gold and kept asking to trade, and kept whispering. Then tried to guilt me with sad faces when I walked off after. Like seriously just go play the game, in the time you spent fruitlessly bothering me you could easily have made a few thousand farming etc!
