I'm not going to reiterate my points from my other thread, suffice to say, the main complaint from many of us is premade vs. pugs. No mmr system is going to do anything about that, and it's pretty clear to many of us that the mmr system isnt worth the code it's written in.
No one wants to "mess" with battlegrounds, we just want a separation of premades vs solo puggers, and then the mmr system can be flushed out as well.3 -

I can't believe you're actually defending a system that is obviously broken in so many ways. Of course the guy has the right to get pissed for getting put into a 3 man team vs two other 4 man teams. That has happened plenty of times to me too, and no, it is NOT ok, no matter how much you want to white knight it, or come with this "accentuate the positive" attitude. Obviously it is not ok to be put onto an underdog team right from the beginning, and it is ZOS' responsibility to prevent it form happening in the first place. Can't believe it's even necessary to point that out.4 -

A little reading comprehension goes a long way. Nowhere did I say it was ok (maybe if you could contain your emotions you'd actually be able to understand what others are posting), I simply told him to make the most of it instead of giving up right from the start.

✭✭✭✭People want a casual, 3way mode in a game with relatively casual, sloppy PvP to be a tight competitive experience. It isn't.
That being said, some complaints transcend that. Deathmatch scoring and high mmr queue times (and general queue brokeneness), and premades vs solos are probably the ones that are pretty legit despite it being a fluff game mode.Thrice Empress, Forever Scrub0 -

It isn't a publically displayed thing in ESO, but players with high win percentages typically get higher queues.
It's also part of why you see the same players over and over, even if you queue in primetime--you are mainly playing people with similar MMRs, in theory.
Of course, this is all ALLEGEDLY because the system isn't transparent. I've seen enough relatively reputable players vouch for it to take it at their word, but people are wrong sometimes.Thrice Empress, Forever Scrub1 -

✭The Battlegrounds mode is poorly designed. Sure, it's more fun that Cyrodiil, but it doesn't change the fact that the mode is not that well-thought-out. Like, the 3 team battleground format is incredibly stupid, and only limits the gamemodes, and makes such things as kill stealing from other teams a possibility. The maps are also limited by having to be playable with three teams, without giving one team an advantage, which they haven't even managed, as in some CTR maps, certain sides have clear advantages, the best example being the University map.
Let's be honest. ZOS likes be imagine they are very original with their 4v4v4 design, but even if it was original, there's a reason why the 2 team battleground format are the norm, as it makes balance easier, and allows for a lot more creative map types and gamemodes.
The reason why people complain about BGs, and have done since its addition in Morrowind, is because of these inherent flaws, not to mention the whole queue system has been broken since the beginning, and remains so to this day, despite ZOS' own best efforts.

I am just sadden about how many people pretend that there is an easy fix and plays the "who screams louder" game.
We should all know that there are casuals pre-mading with friends/girldfriend/boyfriends who would not be able to play in a separate pre-made group.... or that there are people that plays in 2s or 3s and we would not know where would they fit in a separate queu "randomVSpremade".... etc. etc. Discussed several times.
Having said I understand frustrations about MMR and premade issue (and grind, and others). Just hope the community would be more objective in considering the difficult balance between players.
Only solution, I believe, would be more transparence on the system by ZOS (including stats on pre-mades/players, etc.) and a proper discussion on this.

At what level do you normal start BGs at? (I'm level 41 at the mo)
What are Sloads? (I'm assuming they're not the actual creatures)
How does queuing work? Do you add yourself to the queue and then just carry on playing as normal until you get in?
How do you know what level your team mates are fighting at, or the opposition?

You know this isn’t about seperating queues but down to MatchMaking Rating? In theory you’re groups individual ratings should match their combined and multiplied grouped rating. Which in practise does happen, at higher rating matches as there are less potatoes to pug with so on occasion premades do get stomped.
Battleground MMR balance is warped because it is not account bound or capped so once your character gets to a high enough rating, inevitably skill level and population starts to thin out. Horrid and unacceptable wait times then creep in. No one is willing to wait that long. So they don’t. Most reroll, make alts/twinks.

I was very excited for a small scale mode... but at least on PS4 NA battlegrounds is just filled with endless proc sets and almost all sorcs. Since people don't have CP to use they rely on running at least 2 proc sets that deal free damage. Might as well add CP into BGs at that point. Also since the sorc burst is so good right now with rune cage, everyone in bgs is a sorc. I played the other night with 1 friend and 9/10 times I was the only person not on a sorc.
Obviously not much you can do about what people play or what cancer sets they chose to run but they should just add CP back into BGS. not interested in playing against proc sets1 -

✭✭One of the main issues is teamwork and keeping a level head. It's extremely annoying dealing with a bunched up groups who run a pocket healer and/or using cheese builds which, to be fair, is just an effective strategy that can easily put solo players st a massive disadvantage, to the point where it's no longer fun. Rage quitting is also an issue that can absolutely kill enjoymemt. What bothers me is that when you queue in solo, group chat is quiet and no one responds to anything you type.Edited by D0PAMINE on August 22, 2018 1:07PM0 -

This is a fair point around balance, but misses the bigger picture. The biggest picture in PvP in Cyrodiil is performance. Everything else pales in comparison to that. Fix performance in Cyrodiil and we can then focus on balance much more easily.

CP doesnt have a stat impact but a player at cp127 probably doesnt have the game knowledge/familiarity a CP 1200 does. In fairness I ran with a cp 1400 the other day who went 0-11 in bgs on a NB.0 -
