If you have a life forget it, if you’ve ever played an mmo pvp system before you’d know you need two things to get to the top: a lot of free time and help.
If you’re serious then do what I’ve seen other people do - take a week off work and do nothing but pvp the entire time. If you can’t commit to that, then hire Chinese people to grind it for you.
Coming to the forums to whine only proves one thing and that is you’re not worthy of being called emp anyway.0 -

This is true and I don't think faction locking will solve this problem. People have tossed around ideas on how to spread emperor around and the best idea imo is you can only emp once during the campaign, then rotate to the next in line. But you'd still have to grind hard to get in the top 10, and there might not even be 10 emps from your alliance during that campaign.

✭I'd very much like to see accounts faction locked as well. At the beginning of the campaign, you pick your faction, and that's the one you should play for the duration of the campaign. There are too many people playing on more than one side of the fence and promoting goals for colors they are not currently playing.

Many people have multiple accounts. They can just log to their other account with the other faction homed in that campaign and do the same thing. It happened when we had faction locking before and it will happen if you implement faction locking again.

This is not a valid argument against creating one more hoop for people to jump through if they want to play dirty. Every little thing that can make dirty play more difficult will help the community.

✭✭✭✭Emperor nowadays means you cheated, you bought it, guild/friends carried you, that you are one of those no-life-no-sleep beings with a god mode meta build that can solo kill hundreds and hundreds with ease, or that you got #1 because everyone on top dropped the campaign.
Emperor nowadays means sh***, same as Grand Overlord does.

✭You can always just pay that guild to boost you next time, a lot of those guilds need a lot of potions to keep the zerg ball rolling, 10 stacks of tri-stats can go a long ways to your emp push. ZoS has already said this is considered valid player interaction and competition.“Whatever.”

You have the players/guilds that are labeled as tri faction trash that hop to each faction cuz of these reasons.
1. Long queue
2. Playing with friends or a certain guild on a certain faction
3. Those that are labeled as tri faction trash jump to one of the 3 factions to pull heat off of that faction so that faction can regain some ground.
Yes there are pro and cons about tri faction but put their shoes on and see where they come from instead of judging and jumping to conclusions about going back to faction lock.
The only way faction lock would actually probably work now days would be
1. Faction cap of 125
2. Cannot go over that cap
3. So let's say on vivec PC NA EP is already locked but AD/DC are not, if you wanna PvP on vivec you can with an AD or DC toon. (I guess this would pertain to a pop lock not going over 125)
Faction lock would pertain to
1. Home on that campaign on one faction
2. If you want to home on that campaign you have to pay 1m AP to switch
3. You can home on one faction but guest as another. ( Leader board issues)
4. If leader board issues are what ppl are concerned about which I'm not, I for one play all 3. Home and guest will fix that BUT for the people who swap over do it for the fights, AP, and the transmutation crystals.

✭How about we just lock all players characters to a single faction on a single campaign? Whether someone has chars in all 3 alliances or not, all of his/her chars will fight for that one chosen side. This would solve a lot of problems.0 -

✭It would not matter if they brought back faction locking. Those that wanted to get around it would just get a second account, $20.00 is cheap and on sale it's $10.00.
Building up a character on another account is close to a same account, less the cp carry over. So you would see the same complaints. Full priced games with a required sub does have advantages, but that ship has sailed. (Faction locking would work better and botters would think twice.)0 -

✭✭There are players in Cyrodiil with tens of millions of AP for that campaign who are there whenever I port it, are there if I want to run a quick scouting mission before work, are there after work, are there when I'm going to bed after a long day of work...
And the problem with faction locking will be super lopsided campaigns. We will be back to the days where one faction will be locked while the others are at one or two bars.
