Major protection on shields

Can my magicka shields become 30% stronger with major protection ?
Will that buff aply on my shield also .
So major and minor protection buff my shields ? Thanks

It does take effect before your damage shield but it technically does not make the shield stronger, just reduces the damage it takes.3 -

✭✭✭✭✭Every percentage mitigation increase or percentage damage debuff applied to enemy makes shields stronger and by stronger I mean that enemies will have to use more attacks to outdmg the same shield.

✭✭✭✭✭It’s notable though that it’s not really easy to get major protection on a shield without risk or running not ideal sets. Pirate Skeleton was changed for example that it only procs if you take damage to your health bar.
