make a armor that goes with it ever thought of that? itd be easy to make.

Yes, I did thought of that actually and this is the result I was trying to explain in my original post.

I'm not sure why you argue so hard against it. It's clearly not a hard thing to implement, it's already been done with helmet, and as someone mentioned earlier, it's already done with costumes aswell...

that actually looks good with the tabard. but reason im against it is if you wanna show your pride wear your tabard and dont hide it. their never gonna change it might as well get use to it.

You might say I'm nit picking, but theres a wierd black spot on the side and the belt is not blue anymore.
And that is with my best attempt at making everything match.

Now imagine some badass black and red style would contrast with this tabard. Putting it on is just out of question even if I'd really like to display my guild tag. And I know I'm not the only one! So the result is a bunch of guilds fighting each other without even knowing it and thus, not creating some rivalry to spices things up.

One of the few posts I can get behind on this otherwise fairly sad forum full of people wanting free handouts - I agree, it would be nice to both display your character and the work you've put into unlocking colors and motifs and your primary guild tag without having to visually see the tabbard. Nothing needs to be done but to add the option to hide tabbard like everything else that can be hidden.

How about not mocking people who have a differing opinion of you. Was it really needed in this thread? This speaks more of you than people wanting free handouts.

What is a tabard? I never done PvP so not sure what these are and how they look.

Think you should re read what he/she said, and then google tabard, then rest and meditate on what you have learned.

Agreed, can't believe this wasn't a feature at release.

To be fair, the game has changed a bit since release. Tabards and dyes were only introduced in Update 3, which was also before costumes, costume dying, and any motif book higher than #14. Would be nice to be able to show the guild tag without the need to wear a tabard now though.

...Or you could just take the tabard off, it's a costume piece and nothing more. Don't want to see it -- don't wear it. Same amount of hassle as a toggle, other than needing an open inventory slot to hold it.

How about actually reading the reason expressed in the post. People wear the tabard to represent their guild specially in PVP. People make outfits to look good. At the moment the two are mutually exclusive. Clear enough for you?

@ OP: A guild name tag like the show title one would be all that is required edit:for me to be happy. Particularly as the tabard designs are so old and limited.. With the drop down selection option just like titles have.

eg show title, show rank, shiow guild, show all, show none

There is no reason you should have to wear your tabard to show your represented guild tag. "Guild Pride" is silly, everyone has their cameras zoomed so far out and so much is happening tabard cohesion is lost, even if people are actually wearing them (which they are usually not because compared to your standard gear and outfits, they sorta look a little goofy)

I'm super proud of my guild as are other people in it, but we don't wear our tabards much because we also have worked very hard (as a guild, as a team) to acquire motifs and dye colors and use the new outfit system to make nice new looks.'

There's zero benefit to not making them able to be hidden except to say, DO YOU LIKE YOUR GUILD MORE THAN THE OUTFIT SYSTEM WE IMPLEMENTED?! and that's totally backwards.
