I personally don’t like the idea and I was gonna jump on this thread to say something snarky... but as I was thinking about something sarcastic to spit out, I had an idea that I actually liked: you can craft a “spell” that mimics another classes skill. You wouldn’t be able to get the benefits of that class’s skillline passives, but you could cast it with an otherwise equivalent tooltip. Prolly a dumb idea, but whatevs.
I constantly keep reading posts mentioning Spellcrafting, but nobody ever truly explains what is their personal vision of this system. I'm pretty sure nearly everyone has a different idea and different expectation and this is where I want to ask what do you all think it should be and how would it be balanced.

That is not at all what I am asking though. I'd like to know how people imagine it's functionality directly.
What are the functions, what are the possibilities, what parts of a spell would it affect and how, what are the limitations, what are the effects we can use etc.I personally don’t like the idea and I was gonna jump on this thread to say something snarky... but as I was thinking about something sarcastic to spit out, I had an idea that I actually liked: you can craft a “spell” that mimics another classes skill. Like a spell simulacrum? Sort of put up a spellshield that will consume the spell for yourself to use back at the attacker? That sounds like a fantastic idea.
