He is saying, in other words: Justin Bieber (WoW) is a standard star and totally overhyped, despite not being unique to other stars/games. But since it is so generic, many can enjoy it. ESO is Mozart. An almost forgotten piece of art, that is unique and different, but doesn't get the appreciation anymore that it deserves. Since it is so special, only certain people can enjoy it.

Doubt if you will: my sister does not lie.

    A challenge, you say?

As some one has mentioned WOW's new product, "in before lock" I say!

    (that's how it really is).

Comparing ESO to Motzart is...wildly hyperbolic at best.

At least ESO's content stays relevant and you can always do it. In WoW, you grind through the expansion and everything you have earned in previous expansions will become totally irrelevant and there is no reason to ever go back there. Same will happen to this expansion.

In ESO, you can play years old content and still profit from it.

Because it's based on the ES structure, lore and foundation. All ES games to date had/have endless potential. And this is quite big achievement too, especially in the long run. Long live ESO and kudos to ZOS/Beth for making this possible and taking care. <3

Umm, ESO is more on the Beiber end of that comparison. The rest of your response was wasted on me.

After WoD, WoW became a 3D chatroom where you wait for your dungeons or raids. Overworld is too railroaded, cramped and overloaded with stuff. Half of the quests are parodies, references to some meme or overall just too quirky.

That is because you are probably one of those, who cannot appreciate art anymore.
ESO is art. WoW is really just mainstream trash, that tries to sell something to you with the least effort possible.

Couldn't agree more. ESO is still, despite being made by one of the most popular gaming companies, an alternative, compared to WOW and other mainstream games where people enter "just because".

But the biggest overhyped game by far is the Fortnite - while having some unique elements (building), some nice humour and cartoony graphics, it's so overhyped and simplified that sometimes I wonder what will happen with this new generation, considering Fortnite is mostly played by kids and 18-24 year olds.

Youngsters spend days, weeks and months repeating the same thing - getting mats and RNG weapons and shooting themselves over and over and over again. All day long. No progression, no imagination, just "it", with each game lasting for 1 to 20mins Rinse and repeat. And streamers love it because of the large sum of money involved for competitions and audience.

And make no mistake - I'm not saying that Fortnite is bad - it isn't, can be super fun when playing with friends and super fast to kill time, but overhyped to the extreme for what it is. In the same context I cherish and love ESO even more, feeling that I saw only 55% of the total game in my 3,5 years of extensive playing. With so many playing styles, from questing, pve to pvp, different mechanics and build variations, it's enormous.

ESO is not art. If you want make a valid comparison, try McDonalds.

Um no. Fortnite can be compared to McDees, but ESO not even in the worst dreams. Besides, why are you wasting your own time dissing a game on its official forums? Go play something you love.

Please. There is a reason why all those old ESO players always return to ESO. Because no other MMO offers the same.
There are 100 MMOs like WoW, just with better graphics and better combat. But you play WoW because of nostalgia, not because it's a good game. But ESO is unique and there is nothing like it on the market.

Despite what people said at the beginning.... ESO had many innovations and is a game of its own, not a cheap copy of something.

I'm not sure how anyone can still play WoW. It hasn't aged well at all.

    - Looks worse than mobile games today
    - Oudated, passive combat system
    - Grind-based vertical progression
    - Repetitive quests

It's not a good video game.

I'm not sure how anyone can still play ESO. It's gotten worse over the years.

    -Borderline P2W
    -Imbalanced classes
    -Boring end game content
    -Repetitive quests

It's not a good video game.

It's also funny to mention that WoW is subscription based, and still has more players than ESO. Guess they are doing something right.

Eh I find myself really not caring at all about these dungeon DLC. I do them on normal once then on vet once then never return. I'm done with this content in just a few hours.

Would rather them just add real content like a new part of a map with the dungeons in them.

Do people really get that excited over 2 dungeons?

people are starting to lose the flavor on leveling content with no levels. it would be different if the chapters and maps were outstanding solo RPG experience . They are pretty medicore. its a catch 22 right now i dont like eso's direction with their linear progression. its just a new meta with different proc sets. and i really despise the reskinned content with a new map.

I am not excited at all. They nerfed the wardrobe room in traitors vault so its a waste of time( it had already been severely nerfed once). Ive had severe game freezes today. And the only new content that might be semi exciting is a battleground arena that isnt a perfect circle and im not even that into pvp in this game. . Overall i could of done without this update.

New dlc dungeons and trials IS real content to me. They are rewarding because of how challenging they can be for the achievements like no death and hardmode plus the skins and stuff you can show off. New zones, world bosses and pub dungeons are so boringly easy I haven't even bothered to do the main quests for morrowind or summer set yet lmao

From the younger people around me its seems they couldn't less about aesthetics, I mean they wear skinny jeans and only one side of their heads have hair.

As for the OT, ESO..WoW..chalk and cheese about the only thing they have in common considering their relative release dates is that people will still like to stay looking fantastic and relevant at end game, so it will compete? some .
