    I agree, bring back the online/offline status light!

    They said they would reinstate it... must be 2 years ago now. Still is on to do list :(

    Judging by some of the responses on this thread from people who don't know what the OP is talking about, maybe Zeni thought if they left it for long enough people would forget... but we haven't...

    Assuming you mean forums, I don't think Zeni has ever put a red 'offline' banner on the forums for the scheduled maintenance. The yellow banner is still present (but I never hit the 'x' to close it).

    I never understood why they delete it. Do you think we'll be less upset if we just don't see the red light? Yeah, ok, we can check the forums to know it, but, there are people that don't read the forums and try to log in from time to time.

    The subject says 'red bar banner'. And for the OPs post, they mention the status light from the launcher, but then appends on to it 'and now'.

    I agree though on the status light. One day... *sigh*

    They are talking about an online-green/offline-red indicator that used to be present on the launcher. As it is no longer present, you really cannot tell if the server is up without attempting to log in.

    As far as today goes, I personally don't expect the server to be up until 8:00 EST. After all, normal maintenance is around 4 hours plus we're getting Wolfhunter. If anything, it might be longer, but I hope not.

    Yes of course, but some of us left the launcher open after we close that message. (For downloading purposes)

    ZOS said they were going to replace it at some point with something that was more substantial than a dot. Should ask them about that.

    Is that not what this thread is doing? Or should we bombard someone high-up in the Zenimax food chain with emails about it?

    There are times when you can download an update just to find out, you can't get into game because REALM is not online yet. We used to have a light on launcher to tell us the REALM is still down but you can download update, but if you did DL the Update, chances are you'll need to run a REPAIR= REALM STATUS light.
