i want the Any Race, Any Alliance upgrade (and i want the Bantam Guar) but it comes with a bunch of treasure maps. i don't want to lose inventory space to 4 categories of maps, or maybe even 22 slots if they stack as poorly as the provincial maps do.

i'm hoping they will at least be delivered as one of those un-expiring server-sent mails, so that i can buy tonight and deal with the problem later. but even if for later, do you recall how those maps are sorted for inventory?

p.s. i can't find where to change my thread's icon into a little question marky thingy.

It's been a long while since I picked it up, but the maps where bundles by faction and then zone. So the inventory management shuffle with them wasn't bad at all.

I just bought it the other day. You get three or four supply crates that have maps for each zone inside. You can open the supply boxes and take the maps out individually. Though, to be honest, I just destroyed all my containers. I like treasure maps generally but these treasure maps don't give you chance to get set pieces. Every single treasure box that you find with the CE maps is just a couple useless green or blue items. Total waste of time.

They automatically appear in your inventory when you buy it.

The maps come in containers which can be opened individually. (At least thats how it was handeled at launch).

I enjoy the any race any alliance option ... personally I would never ever (probably) think about creating a toon in the aldmeri dominion ... yet khajit and bosmer are just very adorable and fun to play. ;)

PS. I don't think you can change a discussion into a question after posting. Try doing it before you start writing something up next time (using the drop down menu).

does that mean you start with 3 containers according to faction, and then those can be opened and looted into 7 inventory slots each? with a 4th container holding a single item for Coldharbour?

Yes I bought the pack today, and there are 4 containers, one for each set of maps.

thanks @weedgenius ! sounds like 4 of my character inventory slots are immediately filled, but at least i get to draw from them individually rather than as full groups at once. i also wonder if i can bank the containers. i sure wish they were mailed.

and thanks @Elsterchen too! i'm already sold on the feature, i just need to be ready for the inconveniences that might arise.

oh, and it was before i posted that i mentioned i couldn't find it. maybe from being on a tablet instead of something with a mouse.

I think they come bundled in crates per alliance, a lot of us who pre-ordered back in 2014 got them and didn't have our first character weighed down with treasure maps.

Be aware though that the CE/Adventurer pack maps are useless - to avoid accusations of p2w, they do not give a set piece - just non-set decon trash. If you deleted them, you would not be missing much.

Do not buy the pack for the maps.

Bought it so I could make toons to PvP with guildies in a specific alliance. Deleted those pure garbage treasure maps. A bunch of useless trash no one with any intelligence would use. ESO devs seem to have some serious mental deficiencies, and apparently they think every player does too.

If you're on PC there's an add-on that just marks the locations of any maps you have in your inventory. Once I have a few I just go get them as it just takes a few minutes, gives me some gold and some items to decon. The "treasure" maps are incredibly disappointing and they've been given MANY good suggestions for making them more fun and/or worthwhile but there's never been any response to that. So, if you can, grab the add on called Lost Treasure and enjoy your "free" gold.

I got the pack at the same time as the game and definitely can't live without it

As for the treasure maps, I think mine are still in my bank for ages lol.

The pack is absolutely worth it even without the treasure maps. I play chars on all alliance since I have friends in all alliances. I would prolly just destroy them since they are mostly just not worth the time.

When I opened the loot from the first CE map I googled it to see if they were actually supposed to contain useless junk and no set pieces or if it was a bug. I found an old forum post from one of the ZOS CMs saying that the point of these CE maps is to help people who are completely new to the game and have no gear or anything get started.

Basically these are probably the same maps that came with the the original pre-order of the CE game or something so at the time it was a “benefit” to be able to start your first toon and use these maps to get level-appropriate basic green/blue gear. But now most people who are buying this pack are doing it just for the alliance unlock and are likely already seasoned players, making the inclusion of these maps almost completely worthless.
