I will never understand why ZOS keep revising the Proc concept, procs should be buffs imo, so people still use their fingers.

If ZOS would have hide the sloads damage better by just hiding it in some form of other damage, no one would have ever noticed. Other offensive set boni also increase damage, you just wont notice it so specifically.

Hide it and the discussion is gone. 95% of death is nothing to do with sloads, its either you reacted wrong you were outnumbered or you just would have lost anyway maybe a second later.

If you're better you still will win no matter if the enemy wears sloads or not.
If you're on the same skill level it often comes down to the class and abilities you've equiped and how you use them, that matters more then if the enemy wears sloads or not.
If you got 5x sloads on you might shouldnt run into the middle of an enemy zerg, i never ever liked the idea of 1vs groups and the 1 survives, that always is wrong pvp design decision.

I’m more bothered by all the cc you can’t break out of..*** getting old

Or as soon as you break free you get insta cc again

This right here, this *** needs to be fixed before anything else.

Is this when I enter a fight with someone (in Cyro or BG) and i get get stunned and am crouching for like 5 seconds and cannot break free? Only to finally get back up and take two, maybe three steps, and I'm stunned and crouching again, unable to break free, then i'm dead? This happens over and over and over again.

Sloads is not the problem. Oblivion damage stacking is the problem.
Sloads on its own isnt that much damage and its only really useful to counter NB's who cloak every 1.5 seconds in a fight.
Honestly snipe spam ,to me, is more of an issue than sloads.
Just make it so oblivion damage does not stack and that all you need to do.

Sloads Does not even need a nerf, the set Just by itself isn't good at all, it requires for you to line up a burst. I swear the constant complaining about every OP set that comes out gets nerfed, and becomes basically useless, which in turn people have to go back to using what everyone else runs.

IF zos stopped only introducing one OP set for pvp and make multiple sets, maybe that would stop the constant complaining....maybe

I'm sorry but pvp has become unplayable for me atm. Sload's semblance is making outnumbered fights impossible on nightblades. It is not only a ridiculous damage crutch but is also a complete hardcounter to medium armour stamblades (and to shielding classes, to an extent).

So many mediocre players are able to perform at a top tier level against builds that are especially susceptible to sload's. I am really inclined to call out some of these clowns. On EU there's organised groups all running sload's and tbagging/whispering for kiting them. 3 or more sload's on my recap from different people has become commonplace.

Sload's along with perpetual lag in Vivec has made me quit PvP. If at least one of these issues is not resolved within a couple weeks, I don't think I'll return at all. I certainly won't wait for the next large update to go live.

Sorry for the rant, anyone who's been playing in Cyrodiil will be able to understand my vexation.

Unfortunate ZOS and the people who manage this game have no idea how to balance this game. IMO they wanted sloads to overperform, that way people feel more inclined to buy their DLC to craft it for themselves. The developers do not care about the health of their game, they do not care about balance, they do not care about the players who said in beta and in its current state to fix or remove this set. They do not care. All they care about is $$$$$$$$$$$$$. The writing is on the wall. Every couple months they release a new dlc, wolfhunter is coming very soon which is crazy to me because so much *** is still broken from previous updates. They just don't care dude, they really don't. As long as people keep buying their *** they'll keep doing what they are doing. enough people unsub and / or not buy DLCs maybe they'll actually do something for us in terms of balance. I do not see that happening however. So Wolfhunter will come out and nothing will change.
    Ad Victoriam!

    Three important points to address

    1) Anyone saying "Sload's isn't even a good set, it doesn't do much damage" couldn't be further from the truth. View the following thread for some damage comparisons:

    https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/421134/math-sloads-vs-masters-dual-wield-a-perspective-on-balance/p1

    2) The OP also made a very insightful post earlier in the thread that everyone ought to read, demonstrating how the actual DPS delivered by Sload's gets magnified far beyond what the tooltip would suggest, during a practical fight scenario.

Sload's isn't alot of pressure at 1100 per tick, but when I combine it with the now nerfed into the glyph trash heap, oblivion glyph, a poison dot, high enough damage to put pressure on shields the pressure from the oblivion damage eats away at them while they continue to cast shield after shield. What I've noticed if they have a decent heal they can survive or turn the tables.

This is a common misconception about sload's. The dmg ticks from sload's are insanely high. A pvp build can pull around 20k dps on a dummy (very rough estimate), this gets halved by battlespirit, so we're sitting at 10k dps already.

Now take in to account that in most fights you won't be on the offensive constantly, at least 1/3 of the time is spent cc breaking, healing, shielding, kiting and dodging. We're left with. 6,7k dps.

Let's not forget the fact that your opponents can avoid a good portion of your damage by dodging or blocking it and by debuffing your damage/buffing their defense.

All things considered, you're lucky to be doing 3k dps in certain situations. And sload's is a constant almost 900 damage tick! This constitutes ~1/4 of your dps.

Alcast shows a sload's parse in a video of his, it's absolutely ludicrous.

    https://youtu.be/xYwEYQspgmA

    3) Lastly, a response to @Lykanus' defence of the set:
If ZOS would have hide the sloads damage better by just hiding it in some form of other damage, no one would have ever noticed. Other offensive set boni also increase damage, you just wont notice it so specifically.

Hide it and the discussion is gone. 95% of death is nothing to do with sloads

That's not the first time this argument has been made. A player in another thread claimed they sacrificed burst by substituting one of your "invisible damage" sets with Sload's. A little bit of math showed that Sload's was adding more damage to their combo on the first tick alone.

    https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/comment/5253858/#Comment_5253858

Please don't preach to Sorc and NB players, getting melted straight through their main defences without counterplay, by a set that passively does twice as much damage as Master axes, that Sload's had nothing to do with their deaths. It is absolutely and objectively overtuned in every aspect of its function.

    _______________

The devs know this, the reps know this, and the majority of the experienced PvP playerbase knows this, which is why the set is getting significantly nerfed on the current PTS cycle.

I get that some players who defend Sload's may genuinely not have seen the relevant data that truly puts the capabilities of the set in context. In which case, here ya go; I hope this was informative and perhaps changes your opinion.

But there are also several out there who blatantly lie and misdirect, in a desperate attempt to save their favourite crutch from being nerfed. Because who cares about the health of the game, as long as you can keep winning fights without actually trying, right?

To them I say, who do you think you're kidding? Get ready for a rude awakening once Wolfhunter goes live.
