Queuing for one dungeon, then teleporting to another...

Is this a thing? If so, what's the benefit?

I was queuing for Wayrest Sewers II, then after about an hour (I honestly forgot I was queuing, I continue playing the game whilst queued) I get a notification to join a group there. But when I get there, one by one, they all teleport away. I look on the group page and they're all in Fang Lair.

I thought for a second that they were disappointed with their PUG find lol (maybe they were...) but to all go to the same place after getting the fourth member seems odd to me.

Maybe they were hoping their random vet would be Fang Lair? Seems like pretty low odds of that working out for them, but I guess there’s not really any downside for them. The 15 min cooldown will be over by the time they finish Fang.

Sometime I got queue into a dungeon that is fully finished. Seem like if the dungeon take animation time between the group killing the final boss and the the quest giver become active, and if someone left the group in-between, the group finder will actually still try to replace the group member. Happen to me in EH1 and BC1

Only thing I can think of is a buff for queueing? Then if the buff is still on they go to the dungeon they want? No idea.

It's a trick, you can queue for your daily dungeon and then once the group is formed and everyone agrees you teleport to a undaunted pledge dungeon.
That way you can complete both the pledge and the daily dungeon at the same time, because the daily dungeon is actually not fixed to the dungeon it teleports you to, but it completes on killing the final dungeon boss on ANY dungeon.

    ...oh.

    That's... messed up.

Helped an friend to farm an dungeon and he queued for dungeon without resetting it first.
We got two annoyed players who joined us.

Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

Aside from the mild exploit, this is some serious BS if you're anything less than a four man premade, because pretty good odds you're screwing the person incoming in the process.
Just because you don't like the way something is doesn't necessarily make it wrong...

    Earn it.

IRL'ing for a while for assorted reasons, in forum, and in game.
I am neither warm, nor fuzzy...
Probably has checkbox on Customer Service profile that say High Aggro, 99% immunity to BS

Yes, the other might be there for quest or gear.

It should only be done when everyone agrees to do it, whether it's a premade or a dungeon finder formed group in my opinion. Everything else is either rude or confusing to someone.

I was there for the quest and the trophy

Still, there's plenty of game left to play and therefore plenty of background queuing, I'll get there eventually lol

Well I gotta try this sometime. Thanks for the exploit

On the other hand, there have been times three of my friends and I queued for a random, and got sent to different dungeons. Rare bug, but it's happened more than once over the last two years. Sounds like they were going with the trick mentioned above, though.
