No need to for pets at Writ turn in, Merchant or Banker. Would love to see pets deactivate in these town locations.

While they are at it, fix it so the Pet Merchant and banker stores in Combat. No use for them being out while you are running around in a fight. To my mind it's an exploit in PvP to have them to decrease the chance of being targeted., so changing it this way would solve that issue as well.

The banker is extremely useful when doing writs. Addons will pull consumables from the banker and then rewards can be put back in the bank for decon by an alt that needs to level crafting or who need recipes. That is my number one use of the banker.

So, not going to happen. We payed 5500 crowns for that.

I have literally never had a problem with pets blocking me. Do you guys all play in first person?

I was wondering about this. I also have never had an issue. Maybe I'm not doing writs in prime time, because I have never been blocked from writ turn in. Not even once that I can remember.

This is still a problem ZOS. You can find a little spot but its such a pain in the butt when you have people doing this just to be a jerk.

    @ZOS_GinaBruno help!

I was wondering where people were doing writs where it is a problem and I assumed Morrowind. Looks like I was correct. How about not doing writs in the zone that introduced Wardens? Try Mournhold. All the stations are in a circle around a wayshrine and the writ dropoff is nearby. An never bears.

I like how in Black Desert Online there's options to hide all pets, show your pets only, or show everyone's pets. The warden bear has blocked writ turn ins for me too, and the flappy matriarch birb wings are also annoying when there's tons of sorcs by a bank or station. It doesn't affect other players if I hide their pets from my view. It would probably improve my framerate and game performance as well, to be honest. All sorc trial runs are usually super laggy for a reason = pets.

How do you know they are doing it to be a jerk?

I watched the person spend time getting the bear in line on top of the box. Not everyone does it to be a jerk. Its quite possible some have just turned in their writs and just decided to walk away from the PC at that point.

Yes, it is possible. I often position my pets so that they are standing in a way that looks right. Pets have a tendency to stand under water, or at odd angles against objects. I will sometimes position my character so that they stand sensibly. (edit: even if it is on a table, or whatever)

Now, at writ locations, I always dive in there, turn them in, then get away. I see what I got elsewhere. This is mainly because I know that location is busy, but not everyone is going to think of that.

I did run into a case where a bear pet was blocking a crafting station so that it could not be used. I got all angry at the guy that was there until I realized I was a warden and that was MY pet. I was thinking I was on my sorc. So, yes, I can see the utility of hiding the pets at certain times.

I had to quit playing this morning because of all of the flappy wing pets in the way of crafting stations and writ returns in Vivec City. It is just too annoying. Hopefully the area will be better behaved this afternoon.

I have enjoyed running my pets, but I grow tired of them when not needed.

I wish that pets would disappear when outside of combat in a town, building, placed where NPC's and players gather, etc...

Even if you have them double barred, when you near a populated NPC zone, they just disappear. When you move out back into the filed, they just reappear.

This would be really helpful when at the outfit station. Hell, I was yelling at my screen this weekend to MY OWN pets because that damn twilight matriarch has to be the center of attention.

All pets should be on leash. Pets in business areas are not allowed. Ask for bear sprays at the nearest merchant.
Large pets should be properly fed, so nobody is under a threat to lose a hand or head. Electric pets should be properly grounded while parked.
I used to be an adventurer like you, then I got the ESO on my hard drive...

Btw, the most annoying is when I want to make a nice screen-shot, and my flying pet obscures the scene.

Still one of my biggest peeves in the game. I was secretly hoping that the shield nerf would kill the sorc population and this would simply cease to be a problem ;)

As someone with 3 wardens (with bear) and magsorc with pet, and all characters with non-combat pets, I agree they should have no-pet zones. Lately on two of my wardens my bear blocks me from turning in writs. Also I stopped using any flying (non combat) pet since they would block my view when in the outfit station. Now (as long as I remember) I take the few seconds to get rid of them while crafting. However I know there use to be an add on that you could set a hotkey to get rid of them. Anyone know if it's still around?

I"m not sure why crafting areas don't have a pet dismissal area. I've run across a few places in the game where pets suddenly vanish (just outside Mournhold, and by the Argonian enclave in Grahtwood), so I'm not sure why that isn't more broadly implemented. It would definitely come in handy.

Combat Pets should be disabled in towns.

A few of the cities have combat related quests. So it may not work too well. Perhaps a auto disable feature in banks, crafting area's & writ turn in points.

So how do you dismiss a pet on Xbox? I believe if I bought another ultimate and backbar slotted it, then I could dismiss, but that's a lot of hassle to be changing skills a couple of times a day.
Is there another way? I've never found one.

Didn't realize summoned pets interfered with interacting with things. I remember when noncombat pets were an issue way back at the beginning. Strange they didn't apply that to summoned pets too.

Simple. 'City' areas, auto-dismiss all the combat pets, the same way non-combat pets are dismissed when you enter Cyro or BGs.

I have a pet sorc, but man are those flappers annoying... there was 3 next to each other at the enchant station in Alinor and sometimes the wing still flaps in your crafting or banking window

Got told to 'Suck a d***' when asked to dismiss pets... good old internet safety...

I kinda doubt the pets need to be HIDDEN so much as their behaviour as far as interactions needs to be removed/changed. As it is the pets act like another npc that you can talk to. only you can't and there's no interaction to. Players or noncombat pets don't function that way and you can interact with NPCs and objects.(talking to npcs and looting stuff) even if there's swarms of players.

I play several alts with pets, and I try to be responsible. When entering safe areas I'll dismiss them out of habit. There's also one merchant I use often that, if I stay close to the external wall my bear or flappy will remain outside.

There are many ways ZOS could remedy this issue, but let's face it, players' lack of regard for others is the main problem. Sadly, the latter will never fix itself.

From my perspective, the entire pet system needs to be reworked. On classes where pets skills have been learned there can be a simple button on UI that toggles them on/off. But there's absolutely no reason whatsoever why pets are not auto-dismissed in safe areas, much as players are auto-dismounted in many areas.

Maybe put an instant despawn ring around certian objects or places.
