So, a quick follow-up post as I was thinking back to when I last recall getting a high-value gear writ, and I know it was prior to SS launch. But, then I did recall two recent instances of MWs worth more than 7 vouchers. One, I should have recalled sooner, as it was a provisioning writ requiring Psijic Ambrosia at the new value of 40 vouchers. I did complete that one, as I had some perfect roe on hand and I was hungry for vouchers. The other was a gear writ that I got maybe 3 weeks ago? It was 19 vouchers.

So, in correction to my previous post, I have had TWO master writs worth more than 7. That extra 45 vouchers really helped*. /sarcasm

*59 total - 14 the highest value I usually get for 2 MWs

    WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT

"Full" meant "filled with things" after all! I've never been so happy to be wrong.

Now let's see if that pesky Night Pumice issue gets fixed.

Btw - Icy has a vid up of all the furnishings, and when you spin the bookcase around, the back is smooth, flat wood. It will be fabulous as a floor or wall.

Great to hear that the bookshelves are not empty! Now I only hope that the currently empty shelves in the Grand Psijic Villa will be removable. Last time I looked at a video, they were permanently part of the house. Would love to replace them with these shelves to immensely cut the item count needed to fill that room!

Even if those shelves in the Villa aren't removable, you're talking about only needing 3 items to make them look full. Just overlay the full ones on the empty ones and Bam, all sorted.
I did the same thing on the mysteriously dry fountains in that back room, worked a treat

As long as you're (I'm) able to line it up perfectly so there are no flashing textures caused by overlaying them, then that would work. However, being on console it is not super easy and it would be much better for everyone if ZoS made them moveable. Will try this if it comes down to it I guess.

I checked this morning, not movable, but making it not flash and flicker isn't too tough, just pull the filled case out a bit, and raise it up a bit. The shelves will appear slightly thicker, and have kind of a molded edge, but it should work a treat if you only get it close, not precisely aligned

They listened to our feedback. :)

While they listened to the feedback, these shelves, along with every new gold recipe on the vendor, now require 2 night pumice each, which can ONLY be obtained by paying 16 vouchers for 2 pieces (the only other source being decon'ing Ravager equipment, which is both expensive and rare, so that's not really an option).

Much like the Culanda problem, the hard requirement of 16 vouchers to make each and every new item, from these bookshelves to the Psijic safe to the painter's palette etc, is definitely going to put a significant damper on my enthusiasm, and if this goes live, I will certainly save my Night Pumice for my own crafting needs, and not be bothering selling these new items through my 5 trade guilds. The prices would be insane anyway, you are usually able to sell stuff for 1k gold per voucher, so that's 16k right there, plus the cost of a gold mat and the cost of the base mats, that's easily 21-22k - and if you want a profit, you're looking at a selling price of 25-30k per item. That's similar to the Hlaalu Gong and the Hlaalu Turtle, which barely sell due to those high prices. Personally I don't sell them because of that, and I can see on my MM that there is barely a sell on them, once every other week or so, while the other gold recipes like the Alchemical and Mages Apparatus sell consistently and often for about 8k gold, and the same for the Poisonmaker's Cabinet, the Hlaalu tub, Dres sewing kit and some of the others, which usually also sell for between 6-8k.

With the Summerset PTS, I warned about the Culanda problem and what it would do to the furniture market, and the furniture crafter's headache that would come of it, and lo and behold, that's exactly what happened.
I passed on buying any Summerset house due to the fact that it would require some 1,400 Culandas to furnish it adequetely, and I know others passed on the homes for the same reason as well.
Whereas the Vvardenfell furniture market is vibrant and still selling after one year, the Summerset furniture market is dead due to the Culanda requirement, and house decorators are left frustrated if they wish to decorate any home in the Summerset style.

If the mastercrafter recipes go live with the Pumice requirement, the exact thing is going to happen. Very few people will bother to sell these items on the market once their stocks of Pumice run out, no one is going to buy mats for 16 vouchers just to sell them to someone else, and the prices will run so high that few will bother buying and selling these items.
I, and other crafters like me, will likely hoard our pumices to use in our own furniture crafting for ourselves, and perhaps buy the few pumices we need for our own decorating.

It's the Culanda problem repeated once more, or the 20 Hlaalu Bonemold for the Gong and Turtle recipes.

I've stored 3k writ vouchers so far. Don't see anything worth to spend them on, so night pumice furniture is a nice step. People already buy transmutation stations and sell them for like 1 million just to get rid of their vouchers. Set stations are simply too expensive to collect them all and mundus stones aren't available for vouchers. So make us at least spend some vouchers on night pumice, before the value of master writs in guild stores drops any further.

Although I'd prefer to spend them on mundus stones or dwemer-/cwc-blueprints...

You literally quoted a part of my post where I mention the Ravager set. Maybe you want to pay a bit more attention next time you're about to lecture someone.

Irregardless, the entire discussion is moot and void, considering that they changed the material requirement from Pumice to Malondo and Culanda in the recent PTS update.

It's weird how I missed that part, sorry. And I wasn't lecturing you, no need to be rude, I saw "ONLY" part and wanted to add that it's not only, I never checked before how rare it is, cause I'm not a pvp player and found a piece of that set on one of my toons and saw that it's ebony.
    Nice that they fixed it.
